The pump works well however it has what looks to be Vaseline all over the inside of the pump. This Vaseline comes off and into whatever you are pumping out. If you purchase this pump, you will need to take it apart and clean out all the Vaseline.

It works ok as a barrel pump and with the modular pickup tube it can be used five gallon buckets and other size containers as well. The listed price seems reasonable but there are no instructions inside the box. The instructions on the outside of the box have some of the worst broken English I have ever seen.

Basically a one time use product. Flimsy plastic fittings, leaked a lot, handle wouldn't stay attached. Spend the extra money and get a better one. Two stars because it pumped fluid.

My husband has several small pieces of equipment that use off road diesel. He used to get all the fuel in gas cans to fill the equipment. Saw this fuel pump and decided to try it out with a drum to make things more convenient. It was easy to assemble, basically just screw it all together with your hands and insert it into the drum. Hand pump is ready to go and so handy to have on hand.

Beloved, I got this to prepare for the coming struggle. No electricity needed for this, and easy enough for a child to crank. I'll be using it for transferring waste oil out of barrels. I think it's going to work great. It comes with a flexible plastic silly-straw type output hose which you can put on the metal output. This makes it easy to guide the output down to a smaller oil/fuel can, but be careful that you don't allow a siphon effect to go unattended.There were 3 sections of screw on aluminum tubing that reached all the way to the bottom of the barrel, with a plastic foot to keep it from sucking against the bottom. The red plastic sleeve adapter locked the pump in place.You'll probably want to grease the inside of the wooden handle, it has an annoying squeak.Overall I think it's a great buy, and you could probably service the insides if you needed to, unlike some small motorized pump. You could also adapt this to a drill drive, with just a little effort.
