We bought these for a Jupiter Alto Sax to secure a lyre for marching band near the neck key. These threads got started great, but as they were turned further in, the threading expanded and it wouldn’t turn without significant pressure at only 1/3rd of the way in. We used some oil and continued to tighten it with tools and once the thread was established, you could tighten it back to that point with your hands. If we didn’t have a solid instrument to work with, there is a good chance it would have damaged the threading or the housing because of the way the screw expanded the closer it got to the neck. Nice concept but seemingly poor machining and design.
