I ordered this tool to install newthe fuel pumps in my 2010 Dodge Challenger. I replaced both the main fuel pump and secondary boost pump. This tool certainly made the job easier. It's a good quality tool and it fit the Notches in the fuel pump retainer Rings perfectly. I want to be clear that it really takes a fair amount of force and a really good breaker bar to be able to use this tool. Unfortunately fuel tanks are usually in a difficult area with limited space to work. In my case that area was below the back seat. I needed to add a 10 inch pipe sleeve to my breaker bar to get the force needed to remove the rings. Reinstalling the rings with the tool is a whole lot easier than the removal. All that being said this tool certainly beats using a brass punch and a hammer to remove and replace the fuel pump retainer rings. Although this tool that's multiple vehicle applications I probably won't use it more than a couple times but it was certainly worth the money as it made the job a whole lot easier.

This was the second tool I had to buy for removing the fuel pump ring from a 2018 Ford Taurus. The first one I ordered was the adjustable "puller" looking type. That one broke in half the second time I used it. I returned it for this one and this is far superior. It is a nice thick, sturdy tool and it removed the ring with no problem. I would say I'd buy it again, but it's built so well I'll probably never need to buy it again. Good tool and worth the money.

Worked perfect on a 2006 trailblazer. I did use a 1/2" strong arm and a 3' section of heavy wall pipe. Took tremendous pressure and it "popped" with a loud noise when it broke free. Took nearly as much pressure to put back on and that was with grease on everything. I have done these lock rings before with ye old brass punch method, no way that was going to work for this job. I have to admit, given how much force this thing took, it is difficult to comprehend how these plastic tanks take it. I was betting the steel ring formed in the plastic tank was going to unzip. Good tool to have if you are replacing fuel pumps.

This tool did what it was designed to do. It is cast and heavy for its size. I dropped it on the concrete and it didn't;t even scratch. The fit to the retailer ring was just right - just a hint of play to ensure easy install and removal. For the price, it is worth keeping this in your tool box compared to the time you will spend going to the autocrats store to rent the same tool that is likely quite beat up. Fuel pump jobs are simple and this tool makes it so. Don't be a wide guy and try to beat off your corroded retainer ring with a hammer and chisel. That is some explosive fuel vapor you are creating sparks around! For the price, this tool ensures a safe job with minimal risk of explosion. At the end of the day, isn't that what it its all about? This review is current as of 11-28-23 and I will update this rating the next fuel pump job I do.

I could not get the fuel pump lock ring on for my 2005 Ford Ranger. This tool, along with a 1/2" ratchet wrench and a piece of pipe made it take about 2 minutes. This tool is study and durable. I highly recommend you get this tool if you plan to replace a fuel pump. It works for the flat metal type lock rings with 7 notches.

My 07 Santa Fe has two fuel level sensors and one was dying. If I was going through the trouble of doing one, no sense not doing both. At 15 with over 200k, lets just say they were stubborn. I used the tool with my floor jack handle over my ratchet handle for leverage and I still needed to put my back against the wall and use my leg/foot to break it loose. Both sides! The tool held up like a champ. It's a good thing too, because putting the locks back on with the new gasket was just as hard. I did the job back in may, it took a day or two for the gas smell to dissipate, but once it did, it was gone for good. I'm confident this tool helped me reseal the tanks properly. Again, there is no way I could have done the job without it.

This tool was indispensable when I was changing a 08 GM Savana fuel pump. Nothing was working to get the locking ring off. The rust was beating me, and I gave in and bought this tool. It got the job finished quicker than any other method, well really it got the job finished, when no other tool I had could. My one complaint is the tolerances on this tool is too sloppy. I wanted to be lazy and use a 1/2 in impact gun, but there was so much play between this tool and the impact gun, and then again between this tool and the fuel locking ring, the impact gun was useless. I ended up using a ratchet and a long cheater bar, and with some effort the locking ring popped finally. The material seems very good. It is decently heavy, and sturdy. The spacing of the teeth on this is close enough to work on the GM TR26 fuel locking ring, which seems to have run on a number of GM vehicles from 2004 to at least 2022.It would have been a perfect tool if the fit was better, but I wish I had started with this tool, instead of making it my last choice.

Sirve perfectamente para quitar los anillos de tanques de combustible, pero sobre todo, es resistente por lo que puedes usar métodos "rudos" si el anillo esta duro.
