Maintaining an optimal temperature for rack-mount equipment prevents overheating, ensures constant performance, and extends their lifespan. The system is housed in a solid aluminum construction that takes up one rack unit of space (1U). Each aluminum frame is anodized with a light-brush finish, then the corners CNC-machined and edges chamfered for a high-end professional appearance. This model holds six custom-engineered dual-ball bearing fans rated at 67,000 hours, and certified by CE and RoHS. The fans are set to exhaust heated air and should be positioned near the top of the rack. This complete kit includes the 1U fan unit, corded 6-ft thermal probe, user’s manual, rack mount screws, cage nuts, and corded 6-ft power supply.Intelligent CoolingProgramming includes an easy-to-use thermostat and a SMART mode that automatically adjusts the fan’s speed to react to varying temperatures. Additional features include alarm alerts, fan failure triggers, power savings setting, display lock, and backup memory. Six fan speeds are available with three screen brightness settings. Behind the unit is an expansion port that can control another CLOUDPLATE unit or an AC Infinity rack roof dual-fan kit.Performance and ApplicationsThis 1U rack cooling system features programmable fan speed control, enabling it to work for a wide range of rack mount applications. With a noise level that can reach 8 dBA, the fan system can be used for environments where low or minimal noise is required such as home theater, studio, DJ, and audio video racks. A max airflow rating of 60 CFM will provide sufficient cooling to server, network, IT and equipment racks requiring high airflow. This fan system contains premium dual-ball bearings, allowing it to be mounted horizontally or vertically.

Really disappointed in the fan quality, and noise to performance ratio, but the unit is otherwise well made, beautifully packaged, and has great features… Noctua Mod may be called for.

Needed to really move some air in a new rack of video components in our Mobile Broadcast Trailer. Even with great AC it still gets hot in the production trailer in the middle of the summer in South Georgia during the day. Bought 3 of these and one a bit larger. Some blew in some blew out. Work great and they are really quite. Daisy chain power supply is very handy and like the sensors that you can locate about anywhere in cabinet to monitor temp. Will be buying more for my other racks real soon to replace noisy privative fans without the monitoring these have.

Very nice quality. I like there are a lot of settings. This is basically noiseless at level 1 and not over loud at maximum. I keep it at level 2. I'm very happy it's only 1u because my rack is kinda small. The metal is liteweight and pretty for a nice polished look.

La estetica es increible, la pantalla muy facil de leer e interpretar. Los 6 ventiladores que lleva hace que al maximo saque un buen flujo de aire.Silencioso es hasta la velocidad 2-3, luego ya empieza a hacer mas ruido (yo lo tengo en un rack dentro de casa y busco lo maximo de silencio). Ademas se puede conectar a otro modulo que permite controlar 2 ventiladores por USB. La sonda de temperatura que lleva esta genial para que haga una lectura de los elementos que mas calor desprenden y asi tener esos elementos como base de temperatura a controlar.Edito: saca buen flujo de aire si, tal y como dicen en las instrucciones, el rack esta totalmente cerrado y la unica salida de aire es la de este equipo (y una rejilla de entrada de aire en la oarte inferior). Para racks abiertos, solo hace ruido y no mueve aire (si pongo una cinta de papel delante del equipo a velocidad 3, ni se mueve por dispersar el chorro de aire. Si lo hago por la parte de la entrada de aire, no lo succiona en un rack abierto)

This replaced an old home-made fan for a small rack. It works as advertised, although I had to experiment with the fan speed to reduce the noise level. I have it on 2, 4 would be the ideal speed, but wow it is annoying with the whine it puts out. Speed 5 is right out of the question. 2 seems to do the job ok, although it has to run a long time to cool things down. A bit concerned for next summer here in Texas. We'll see.I'd recommend trying something else, frankly. It isn't perfect, but works ok.

looking for rack fan ? you can't beat this - quick easy installation, can't hear the fans at all (over anything else running on the rack). Nice to have the temperature probe to display real time temps.

I just finished installing this last week, and it is working pretty well right now. I like the controllers on this and the fan can be pretty loud but powerful at full speed. This is an exhaust airflow fan so please make a note before you purchase. This should be placed next to your vent and if possible you should have an intake fan at the other end to complete the circulation cycle.

Very nice product. I use it in my Amateur Radio rack to vent my Tube amplifier heat out. Unit works well and is reasonably quiet even on the highest speed. Display is nice and aesthetically blends in with the rest of the rack seamlessly. I may see about reversing the direction of one side of the fans, to do a push/pull in the cavity to maximize airflow.

This is a great product. It is well built, well packaged for shipment. Seems to be very high quality, has several settings for how it will run which work great. It is a bit more expensive than some of the other solutions, but it is totally worth it. Do yourself a favor and spend the little extra for this device. It is very quite at lower speeds and even at high speeds, I wouldn't call it loud, but that is very subjective. The only thing it is missing that would nice is some form of remote monitoring, but I knew that going in, this works perfect for my requirements. Highly recommended.
