The Adaptec SCSI Card 2906 protects your SCSI peripheral investment by providing the same internal and external connections previously available with built-in Mac SCSI. And it works with Old SCSI manager as well as newer SCSI Manager 4.3 compatible devices for maximum compatibility. It also provides 10Mbyte/sec Fast SCSI performance that is twice as fast as the previously provided built-in Mac SCSI, and 6 times faster that the standard PC parallel port. (In Europe, only available for Macintosh.)

I am running a HP Scanjet 4c on a ASUS mother board with Windows 8.1 32bit with only the need to download a small program to make the scanner software compatible (it downloads automatically).The only problem is that the ASUS mother board has only one suitable slot so I cannot use a NVIDIA card as well .

I purchased this card because I upgraded my ASUS Mother Board. The new board had no ISA slot that had been used by my previous HP provided card. The Adaptec card fit easily into one of the new board's PCI slots. Windows XP Pro found the new hardware and configured my ScanJet 4P (HP scanner) for immediate use! This was the easiest upgrade I have ever done. Thanks for providing another fine card to assist with upgrading to faster platforms.

Adaptec continues their reputation for solid design and performance.I updated an older Adaptec ISA SCSI card (which never gave me a problem in over 5 years) with this one for a PCI slot, and everything worked perfectly. As usual with Adaptec, I didn't need to load a driver. Win XP detected the card and loaded it automatically. Great product!

First off, I would never trust a SCSI card that is NOT made from Adaptec. Besides the fact of being overrated(at times), their quality and service is superb. Adaptec keeps up with the new high-technology as expected, and their product line will definately fit anyone, from a basic PC user to a quad-processor server.I purchased this SCSI card to control a SCSI scanner that was purchased before. One internal 50-pin IDC connector, and one DB25 external connector. This SCSI card was made to connect to any device that is Fast SCSI compliant. These Fast SCSI devices have a max speed of up to 10MB/sec. Devices include, CDR/CDRW drives, Zip Drives, hard drives(non-bootable), scanners, etc.Easy installation onto any computer, I installed this puppy into my Celeron-based PC with no problems at all. Affordable and easy to setup gives this item 5 stars.
