About this item

  • 90-degree elbow for connecting two pipes or tubes at an angle
  • 45-degree flare connection on one end and an NPT male connection on the other
  • Brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability
  • 45-degree flared construction for a stronger connection than soldered
  • Operating temperatures range from -65 to 250 degrees F
  • These fittings contain lead and are not allowed by federal law to be installed for potable water use in the U.S.A. and its territories.

The Anderson Metals elbow is made of brass and has flare and National Pipe Taper (NPT) connectors. This 90-degree elbow fitting, also called "ell," connects two pipes at a 90-degree angle to change the direction of flow between pipes. It has a 45-degree flare connection on one end and an NPT male connection on the other. This fitting is made of brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability. This fitting has 45-degree flared construction for a stronger connection than soldered, long-term reliability, and for use in installations where flames or heat are not allowed. The operating temperatures range from -65 to 250 degrees F. This fitting is for use in fuel equipment, plumbing, gas, refrigeration, and vacuum applications. It is suitable for copper, brass, aluminum, and steel tubing.

Pipe and tube fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. Flared fittings are alternatives to solder-type joints and are used when the use of an open flame from a soldering iron is impractical or prohibited. The most common flare fitting standards are the 45-degree and 37-degree flare. When purchasing fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size, and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness).

Anderson Metals manufactures brass fittings, valves, and pipe nipples. The company, founded in 1951, is headquartered in Kansas City, MO.
