Worked perfectly to adapt the female flare of a straight-through propane hose to the 1/4" NPT male side of a quick-connect fitting. Very handy for connecting outdoor appliances to a pre-regulated gas source.

These appear to be nicely made brass adapters. The threads have very minor, tiny grooves on them, but I don't think they affect performance at all. They are very solid.

Natural Gas and Propane fittings have host ends that are concave or convex depending on the respective fitting. Water fittings are usually flat with a rubber gasket that makes the seal.These will work fine for water, which is what I used them for. Pay attention to the source you are connecting to: Going to a 1/2" copper or PVC stub out, wrap at least 4 turns of PFTE tape around the male threads, then tighten 1 turn past when you feel resistance---if still leaking tighten 1/8 of an inch at a time until leaking stops. Connecting the faucet hoses will be less taxing. Again be liberal the PFTE and connect the faucet hoses to the adapter, the faucet hoses typically have rubber gaskets built into the hose ends, so a 1/4 to 1/2 turn past when you first feel firm resistance will be sufficient

I needed an adapter for my new faucet because I have a 1/2” connection from the wall and my new faucet hookup is 3/8”. I saw that it mentioned suitable for plumbing as well has and all the other pipe fittings so I picked this up. Well, it turns out that this set of adapters do not come with any rubber gaskets that plumbing adapters include. Guess I’ll have to either find some rubber gaskets or just not use these. It would have been nice to either include some gaskets if you’re going to advertise that these are suitable to use with plumbing fixtures or simply not advertise compatibility with plumbing at all. Aside from that issue, the product itself is rock solid.
