This looks like a box you would find in an art gallery shop - except for half the price. Excellent craftsmanship. I expect it to last for generations - not exaggerating. Gave this as gift & put in a few family recipes. Comes with tab dividers and a set of blank cards. I have not seen this kind of quality in years.

Excellently mad and very pretty wood. I bought 3 for gifts and all are excellent. Expensive but well worth it. These are a keepsake to pass down from generation to generation and that is what I have abought them for, Christmas gifts to pass down the family recipes.

Diese Box ist wirklich wunderschön und hochwertig - stabil und einwandfrei verarbeitet. Ich bin sehr glücklich über dieses Schmuckstück in meiner Küche.Die Rezeptkarten dazu sind auch fein und wertig. Ich bin rundum zufrieden.Aufgrund des Preises habe ich länger überlegt, aber es lohnt sich, wenn man etwas langlebiges möchte.

I like the strength of this box. It is big enough to hold my own unique size cards, will easily hold 200+ of these cards, and comes with customizable index dividers. Very pleased with the product.

Bought for my wife, she loves the feel of the finish and the look of it. The groove in the top to hold your recipe card so you don't get it messy with sticky fingers while cooking is great too.

Bout a cheap little box before buying this high quality one. Wood and hinge are well built and beautiful with a design that will last a lifetime. Would recommend!

This is a gorgeous box! I’m a little concerned about the left hinge though, it wiggles-a lot, hence the 4/5 stars. The card slot on top is a plus. I hope it will last b/c this is truly heirloom quality and I plan on passing it down filled with mine and my late grandmother’s recipes.

I bought a box for a gift to put my mothers recipes in for my children. I was so excited to get it. The one I received was another seller, it was horrible. The box was not sturdy, it was splintery and the finish was not acceptable, I sent it right back. I ordered this one and can not be happier. This box is the best, worthy to gift but mostly a keepsake for my mothers recipes.

I didn't even think about it when I got this for my girlfriend, but part of the reason she loves it so much is because it's also a place to store memories. Which helped make it a pretty solid anniversary gift on my part :D. She gives the cards out to older family members and friends who live far away so that she can hold onto her meals and memories of them even when those people pass out of her life. The cards are fantastic because they have a "From the kitchen of ____" line on them, so my gf can remember who wrote on the card and shared their favorite meals. The wood is very high quality and looks GREAT just sitting on the kitchen counter in her house. The ONLY... ONLY critique is that you can't buy more of the dividers somewhere. That would be a great perk. But everything about it is beautiful. I would buy it again without any hesitation at all

I was looking for a recipe box and cards to go with a crock pot for a wedding gift. The box I had purchased previously on Amazon was no longer in stock. I was a little concerned about the price point of this item, but the reviews convinced me to take a chance. I was not disappointed. The wood is a beautiful dark walnut color without any rough edges. The "Recipes" printing is equally smooth and centered on the front of the box, and the hinges are the sturdiest I've seen on a box in a long time. I was impressed by the recipe cards, dividers, and measurement conversion card. All are heavy cardstock, and the front of the dividers, except for the tab, is glossy with a black and white print on each. Also inside the box is a leucite plastic holder; a recipe card may be slipped inside here and placed in the groove in the box lid. This allows one to easily consult the recipe while prepping and cooking, and it keeps the recipe card clean. The cards will also stand up in this slot without the use of the plastic cover, if you prefer. I now understand why the cost of this box and contents was more that the myriad others I looked at. The box is beautifully crafted, sturdy, and should last a lifetime. Hopefully, this will be a nice place for the newly married couple to collect their favorite recipes.
