These hooks are strong and should be able to handle some heavy items. I used them in my deer stand to hang a blackout curtain to conceal my silhouette. They are overkill for that purpose. These hooks are big and strong and should be used for something more worthy of their strength. Ultimately I screwed them in so that only a quarter inch protruded, but that took a little effort even with the pilot holes I drilled.

These hooks are great for hanging holiday lights and similar items. They are made out of 304 Stainless Steel so I do not see a problem with using these outdoors. Since these are M5 screw threads, you can drill a pilot hole with an 11/64" Drill Bit. Depending on how much of the hook you will need to hang your item will determine how deep a hole to drill. This came with 60 pieces so it should be enough for what I got them for. However, if I do need more I will buy these again, they are that good.

There are just so many places I need some kind of screw hooks, many of which are outdoors and/or in pressure-treated wood. For our duck house, we use stainless carabiners for security to latch them in at night, but in the morning, I wanted a convenient place to hang them for the day. I had used a screw eye that I had on hand, but a hook is so much more convenient. The duck house is a new addition to our place this year, and there are going to be so many more ways to use these hooks... the next one being a place to hang a feed bin.In the garage I have a lot more items that I need to organize, and these will be great there, too. Stainless steel is great for enduring the weather outdoors and for resisting the corrosive chemicals in pressure-treated wood. Stainless also simply looks better than galvanized, which is the alternative.

These hooks are as advertised. They work for a variety of projects. I am unsure of durability/strength, but they seem to be fairly well made. There are no major concerns/issues.Rating System⭐️ 1 star= Disappointed. Truthfully, I don't know what these things are really used for. I needed to string some rope from one end of my garage to the other. I needed to hang drapes to hide the contents of the garage for a party. So I used these to screws into the drywall and stud.Worked perfectly for what I needed! The drapes are still hanging a month later.

II got these for making latches for bird houses and owl boxes. They are just about the right size to fit smoothly through a 1/8" saw kerf. The wire shank is M3.5, or just barely 9/64” so you will have to take a second swipe through the tablesaw to slightly enlarge the kerf. Then position the hook so that when the hook end is ninety degrees to the kerf it keeps the lid latched closed, but a quarter turn lets the lid slide off the hook. These are very hard to find and these are well made. Highly recommended.
