If you are fussy about stains on your metal grill pan, don't get this one. We love it, but are accepting of the stains from heat.

After using this several times we cannot recommend this product. The char does not come off easily if at all as you can see and we really scrub it good with Dawn. Not worth the effort. Sorry.

This review is for the Extreme Salmon BBQ Grill Pan.First, I want to address a couple of the complaints about this pan:1. Does it discolor? Yes.2. Does it warp or distort when heated at a high temp? Yes.If you understand anything about cooking on a grill, you know that the temperatures can reach 500 F or higher. This can warp and discolor thinner metal.Overall I am very happy with this grill pan. I previously purchased one and have used it many times. It has done a great job with everything from fish to sausage to vegetables so I bought a second one. IMO, this excels when cooking vegetablesAfter I’m done grilling, I leave the pan on the grill and let it cool down with the grill. The pan returns to flat about 95% which to me is very acceptable. If you remove the pan from the hot grill and let it cool on it’s own, I think it will cool too fast and distort a lot more. Let it cool slowly with the grill and you’ll be okay.As far as discoloration, you will get some from the heat and the food. After letting mine cool, I soak the pan and clean with scotch Brite sponge. It takes off all of the food residue but does not clean to factory new shine. You can try a steel wool pad to make it shinier but I personally I don’t care if it is shiny like new.. I care if it is clean and cooks well.I gave this pan 4 stars because 4-1/2 is not an option and I rarely find something worth 5 stars. But this pan comes pretty close in my opinion.

Nice sturdy strong piece of metal. It does heat up very quick and cooks the food evenly. Depending on the temperature it does bend and makes noise. Heat bends metal. Food did come out well cooked and no burn marks. It got very dirty and black but I was able to scrape it with bbq brush and used some water to clean it up. This is one of the strongest bbq grill pans I’ve ever tried. Great quality. Will recommend.

I roast a lot of vegetables in my convection oven and this highly textured pan with slits is great for exposing more surface to the hot circulating air. I do put a solid sheet pan on the rack beneath it to catch any drips.

I happy when I receive this item. The steel is thicker than I expected and the polished finish made cleaning a snap. I cooked sirloin and chicken breasts over a fire pit and this cooked them well over fairly hot coals. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this item. All expectations were exceeded.

It doesn't feel cheap. It looked kind of thin when I unboxed it, but it's got some weight to it without being too heavy. It doesn't flex much, either. It feels like it will last. It's a good size - you could easily fit a grown man's pair of shoes on it with room to spare. The textured surface is smooth enough that it won't be hard to clean, which is good because the instructions say to clean it by hand, only. It opens up lots of grilling possibilities!

So far so good. It’s a nice option to have and keep meat veggies from falling through grill. Did fish last night and works great. I actually take the entire pan with meat off grill and bring it all in on cookie sheet and serve. Clean up requires some soaking and scrubbing and I store pan right in the grill for nest time.
