I used this kit to drill 24 holes on porcelain tile to hang mirrors and hooks. I was not sure if these would work after reading some reviews about how they wear down. The holes were nice and clean. I used the technique that another reviewer had recommended, first starting with the Sharp bit, and then using the grinder bits. The key was dipping them in cold water to cool off the grinder bit periodically. I would buy these again.

I purchased another diamond bit from a chain tile store and used it as directed, with water. It was hollow and it warped and was unuseable. I was skeptical about the BGTEC Dry Diamond Drill Bits being able to use dry, but I decieded to give them a shot based on reviews. The tile is procelain with a very glossy surface. I watched a few YouTube videos and practiced some, and this bit ground through the tile and the cement board behind it perfectly! Be sure to have your drill setting right so that there's enough speed. I didn't use water and the bit stayed straight and not super warm to touch! I highly recommend.

Hung two glass corner shelves in my tiled shower with no problem. Pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean holes for screw anchors came out. Highly recommend for diy projects! No chipping or cracking of tiles.

I'm about done with a tub to shower remodel. After breaking a few porcelin tiles trying to drill my valve and shower openings, I was worried about installing the shower doors, afraid of ruiining even more tiles. I called a guy to do the job, but he never got back to me so my search for a diamond drill bit began. After reading the reviews, I decided on the 5-piece set. Here is what happened. Following the suggestions, I used the pointed tip to start the hole. Once I scratched the surface of the tile, I used the round head (#1) to do the drilling. It worked, but each 1/4" hole took 10 minutes on constant pressure. Not fun. After 20 minutes and two holes, I switched tactics. First, I used the pointed tip to go deeper (say 1/8" deep). I also started dipping the tip in water every 20 seconds or so. It only took a minute to got 1/8". Then I switched to another round head bit (#2) and (dipping it in water every 20-30 seconds) after 60-90 seconds, the hole was drilled. NICE!!! The remaining 7 holes were drilled in 15 minutes ro so!!! I even went back to bit #1 and it was just as fast as bit #2. So, the differemce was dipping the tip in water (contrary to the suggestions by the manufacturer).....That's why I gave this product 4 stars (and not 5). Hope this helps some of you out there!!! :-)

Honestly only the largest bit is of a sufficient size for a drainage hole in a pot. Came packaged nicely but they should have made it clear how small the drill bits really are.
