Every time you stop and start riding again the device beeps and says "The bike is moving, do you want to start recording, Y/N?" and you cannot disable that feature! (Confirmed by Bryton) The device is almost unusable because of that!

Simple to use, app is great and all the metrics are easy to read.Don’t like the difficulty to switch back to turn by turn screen if a climb starts, and the turn by turn function is a little slow, so sometimes miss the turns.Apart from that, it’s fantastic for the money!!

I'm reviewing after eight rides totaling 20-plus hours. I have the 460 paired to a Cospoo speed sensor and an ancient Garmin heart-rate monitor, both ANT+. I run the Active app on a Pixel android phone, and am paired to Strava.I've only had one problem I couldn't solve by poking around in the app or on the GPS itself, and that was an inability to set my maximum heart rate for calorie estimation. Bryton support sent me an APK for an app update, which fixed the problem (why they haven't update the app in Google Play is a good question). The first time I rode, I kept my Cateye Strada on the bike for comparison. The speed sensor seems to lag by two or three seconds, and invariably takes five seconds to pause when you stop; plus a similar time to unpause once you start moving. If your route includes a lot of starts and stops -- city commutes, for instance -- your mileage and average speed will read slightly low. That's not a deal-breaker for most people, I suspect.I have had no problems with uploads and connection to Strava. Except for going through tunnels and underpasses, I've never lost a GPS signal; bearing in mind that I ride in flat country and mostly in rural and suburban settings rather than in mountainous country or "urban canyons." Since I already know where I'm going, I've not bothered to use the routing; at least not yet.The documentation could be a little more... helpful. The interface is a bit on the clunky side, especially for people used to touch screens. I like, though, that I can customize my display screen and toggle among several different screens to get all manner of data. It's just that setup took some figuring out.I'm happy to have a GPS unit that meets all my needs, and at a reasonable price. I looked at the Garmin family, but the user community seems to be about as cult-like as Apple users. Thanks, but no thanks...

I like the form factor, screen has been easy to see in all conditions, buttons are good. Easy to connect to my ANT+ heart rate monitor and power meter, GPS seems accurate (though I don't think it's dual-band), and battery life is amazing, even collecting all that data.At first, I had some trouble getting settings made in the app to get to the device, but their support hooked me up with a pre-release version of the app (v 3.0.42) that works much better. I haven't tried anywhere near all of the features yet, but so far I'm pretty impressed for the price! To give context, my previous experience was with the CYCPLUS M1 (worked great until I lost it) and M2 (great form factor, but GPS often recorded 20-50% more distance than actual).

I like having my HR data directly in front of me, and I like the highly visible LCD screen. The GPS is probably adequate for road biking, but for mountain biking, it will chop off 50 feet of every switchback. It lost a whole mile on a 8 mile ride compared to my buddy’s Apple Watch Ultra. The AWU is dead-nuts on the dotted trail line on the map, while this thing wanders all over the place. I'm willing to overlook this, because very few GPS's can handle accurate mountain biking mileage, and a $14 wheel speed sensor from "moofit" solves this problem. Maps still look sketchy, but speed and distance is spot-on after you've taken a few rides and calibrated it. I was also annoyed that it did not pair to my bluetooth chest HR monitor, so I had to buy a new ANT+ one for $30. Now that I'm all set up though, the dedicated hr monitor is far more reliable than a watch. The watch gets the job done, but if you're looking for really consistent results, ride after ride, for a real comparison, you can't beat a speed sensor and dedicated hr monitor. One negative is that you can't make the ride a "mountain bike ride", so everything uploads to Strava as a "ride." Bryton does not allow you to even choose between road, gravel, and mountain, which is a major oversight. The Bryton app is sketchy. I'm a developer, and I could have made that app in my garage in a week by myself. Maybe the Bryton developers should buy a Garmin and use it for a week to see how this is supposed to be done. This inability to choose "mountain biking means that you have to go into Strava and edit every single ride you take be "mountain bike" to differentiate between your mountain and road rides. The user interface on the device itself is fine. One good thing -- and this is EXTREMELY good (it cannot be overstated enough) the screen is highly visible and highly customizable with between 8 and 2 stats. The numbers are large and readable while banging down a trail. Regular LCD screens are the way to go in the sun. When you reduce the number of stats, the numbers grow in size. If you're trying to read a watch while mountain biking, you have to take one hand off the bars, which is less than ideal in the gnar. What made the display even better is when I found the "graphs". So instead of just displaying speed as a number, it shows a histogram bar graph along with current, max, and avg speed. Same with heart rate if you want. That little touch reminds me of the split bar graphs that the Runkeeper app used to show for bike rides back in the day, and it is pretty fantastic.
