Third time I order these, Tater loves them! I add oatmeal and store them in the fridge, they last about 3 months and then start dying, but that's still plenty of food for my hedgehog. They're not too big and a few arrive dead but the price is good, Tater would be on a diet if I had to buy worms at the pet store.

I have ordered multiple times from this company. The mealworms are alway alive, they are packed so well they survive even the coldest conditions. They do not arrive with food so just be aware to purchase bran/mealworm food separately.

It's a crap shoot, so far. 50/50, on whether or not you receive a good product. The first time, I received the mealworms of my dreams. In great condition, they hadn't shed yet, and plenty of food in the container. The second was the exact opposite. They'd shed many times and most had died. Probably because they'd eaten all the food and there was only feces left in the bottom of the container with the little black bodies. (That sand at the bottom of the container, yeah, worm poop). They send a super nice card asking if you have any problems to email them, Also asking for 48 hours for them to respond. I wrote them last week. No response. On the surface, they seem a great price. But not if they actually cost you double what they're listed at because you only get half your orders containing a good product.

There were no live worms in this tub at all.Update: they provided a refund and replacement. I'll update again when I receive the new shipment. They provided a number with the shipment and they were very quick to reply. I'm sure it is very hard to ship these guys in the extreme heat and cold.UPDATE: I really appreciate this company going the extra mile to satisfy me. Once I contacted them through the number provided to me in my first shipment my refund was processed within a day or two and they also sent me another batch of mealworms for free. All of the mealworms were alive and wriggling around (as worms do) when I opened the little sack that was inside of the shipping box. The box was neatly packed and the sack inside was tied shut and the top taped up. There were no escapee's in the shipping box. They even included a little piece of egg carton which is awesome! The only thing I'm bummed about is the size of the mealworms. I'm pretty sure I ordered medium and these guys are really small. I am still happy though, even more importantly Scarlett is happy. She loves them. Thank you Predator Foods, I will order from you again.

I buy these to feed the many, many lizards that have now accumulated in the backyard. I love how they are all perfect sized! There’s some little worms here and there that are perfect for feeding the new hatchlings! The lizards love them, which says a lot, since I can’t get them to enjoy freeze dried worms anymore. They run up to me each day (especially the Arizona whiptails!) because they know they’re getting some tasty treats! Overall, they look great and arrived healthy when I needed an extra accommodation due to the summer heat in AZ.I needed help with my order, and the seller helped promptly! Figured out a way to keep them alive on the journey! I’ll be buying these for a long time to come!

This was my first experience ordering live insects. I typically read reviews for anything I purchase online, but apparently got in a hurry and didn't read them this time. The mealworms arrived live and active, thankfully. They arrived a day earlier than expected, so I was not anticipating them being delivered the day they arrived. The mail carrier left the box on the porch step in direct sunlight. When I found the box (within an hour of hearing the mail truck), I checked the box and saw no indication on the packaging that the box contained something that was live. The only thing to indicate something living were a few thumb-size holes punched in the box. Inside the box was a mesh bag closed with a zip tie, not a plastic container as shown in the picture when purchasing. There were two large pieces of crumbled paper inside the bag. Several ants were crawling in the box and at least three had gotten into the bag. My kids and I worked quickly to get the mealworms transferred to our container and away from the ants. The mealworms had managed to invade every single fold of those two pieces of paper, so getting them out quickly and without flinging worms everywhere was not easy. Once transferred to our container, the worms were very active and seemed fine. I ordered large mealworms, but I would describe them as medium and small. I just checked on them, and they have been quite busy gnawing on the carrots in the container, so they seem to be doing well. If needed, I would order again, but would be better prepared for the bag and paper hassle. Not sure how to prevent the ant situation other than to package in bowls with air holes so they can't get to the worms.
