If you have bathroom stench issues, I highly recommend. Anytime I would flush with the half bath and it was 1/2 full it would make my bedroom stink horribly. Smelled like it was coming out of my A/C vents. After trying so many different things, this Camco Cyclone finally solved all my issues. $30 simple install.

Was worried I'd have problems installing on my 1986 minnie winnie but worked like a charm! Not a single whiff of the black tank when we're trundling down the road. Slathered on some sealant and we're in business. Got the black one cos I'm not one of those people who need everything to match and I'm glad I did, it's inconspicuous and you hardly see it!

I can't believe it actually works this good. I've tried just about everything for my black tank odor . This had the best results. Pulls odor from the tank.

This thing did nothing at all and there’s been wind every day. The smell continues. I did get a badly cut hand trying to remove the putty from the original vent cap though that took 4 stitches to fix. Update—- I have since writing this review found out that the smell were having a problem with was caused by the cheep plastic toilet my motor home came with not from the black tank. I replaced it with a nice porcelain one and now it’s gone. The vent is working fine, no odor coming up at all. The only issue with the vent is that it is open to critters. Some of the other styles have built in screens. I will install a screen in the opening to solve that, not a difficult task.

I don’t know why these don’t come standard on all rv’s. Removed old vent and ran a water hose to wash out vent stack thoroughly after watching a video that suggested it. So glad we did because it was stopped up from previous owner and not venting properly. Do not let your tank over fill. Installed the cyclone once everything was cleaned and it worked immediately. It’s the best rv hack item we have ever bought! Why haven’t you put it in your cart yet?

Works perfect to rid your RV of black water smell during driving. Having an older RV, we had a lot of smelly problems while driving. Such a simple and easy to install answer for a reasonable price. This would not work for anything that is parked as it need air movement (wind) to draw a vacuum and pull the gases out. I would recommend for anyone with the same problem and wouldn't go without one now. This does not come with any sealant for installation. The instruction says that it needs silicone at the roof and flange, however DO NOT USE SILICONE on an EPDM rubber roof as it will not seal. Purchase some Dicor (or other name brand ) non-sag lap sealant (butyl tape is not needed) to install this product if you don't have any.

This unit really does the job! Normally we get terrible sewer odors in our camper when driving down the road or parked in the wind. Apparently we don't have enough vents or in the right place or whatever. I installed this over an existing pipe, but had to cut the pipe down because it was near the ladder and I had to make it low enough to make the fin clear the ladder. I also shaved a notch in the fin so it could swing past the ladder handle freely. It also doubles as a wind direction indicator. We drove down the Alcan to Montana and back with this baby installed and not one single incident of sewer gas, even in the heat of summer. If it ever breaks another one is going on in its place. I never knew the fix for that stink could be so simple. When we are parked it always aligns itself with the breeze to keep the vent flowing the right way. Very nice!My only worry is our habit of bushwhacking. We have to be extra careful to not catch it on a low hanging tree.It has been on the camper almost a year and still swivels freely in the slightest breeze. It has survived the Alaska winter without breaking spinning around in the cold. We finally drilled a hole in the fin and tied it to the ladder rail to keep it from getting unnecessary wear during windy days.*******************************Update August 2017. 3 years and 2 Alcan trips and this vent top is still spinning in the wind and keeping the camper odor free. I thought the plastic might give out on some cold winter, but it is holding in there and it still turns freely. We have gone through brush and low tree limbs without tearing it off, but the ladder protects it some and we try to keep out of the harder branches. I well made product. Hope they don't change to something cheaper when we finally need a new one.
