How to shield your guitar

1

1. Cut

The first step is to remove every component in the body cavities. You will need to cut out strips of copper tape to fit into each of the cavities.

2

2. Apply to bottom

You will need enough to apply to the bottom of the cavity, with the excess going to the side walls.

3

3. Apply to Sidewall

Another strip should be applied to the sidewalls, with some slight excess folded over the top of the cavity to mate with a control plate or pickguard.

4

4. Apply to Underside

If your guitar has a pickguard, the underside of the pickguard should be taped as well, to enclose the electronic cavity.. Make sure that all strips of foil overlap each other.

Choose width >10mm and use the pinking shear to stop slugs & snail

cut

1. Cut a piece of tape that’s long enough to fit around your pot then, using the pinking shears, cut a decorative edging along one side.

stick

2. Carefully stick the tape just below the rim of the pot. Remove a little bit of the backing at a time, smoothing out any creases as you go.

3

3. Using the edge as barrier to stop slugs and snails

Very good copper tape, I used it to fix the printed circuit board on the back of the instrument cluster for my 73 Javelin

the consistency of this foil is that of gold leaf. If you look at it wrong it tears. it is very difficult to trim without it tearing. It has so much adhesive on it that it smears on the glass after you trim it.would not recommend to anyone.

I used this for stained glass and found it so frustrating that I will throw away the rest of this roll and the unused roll.

It doesn't stick. I knew the price was probably too good to get quality product. I had to immediately order from a manufacturer that I was familiar with and had used before. Cheaper is not always better!!

ステンドグラス用に買いました。テープが手に入らない時期には、とっても重宝しましたよ。でも薄いので、めくれてくっついたりハンダの付け直しは注意して使っています。 今のところ十分です。

Plug on your laptop loose and falling out? This is great to help bridge the gap and tighten it a bit, while still maintaining good electrical connectivity -- just wish I found a way to get it to the bottom of the prong.

Copper foil tape for large stained glass. Very thin, so it won’t work in a foiling machine since it will rip. I ended up putting the spool in an upside down top and cut out a little notch, pulled from there so it wouldn’t tangle. Left over tape was used to fill small gaps, make sure adhesive side is not exposed because it’s not very conductive.
