Flare fittings are the components in the pipeline system that play the roles of connection, control, reversal, diversion, sealing, and support.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
1. Flare fittings are suitable for occasions where it is necessary to increase the flow cross-section and reduce fluid resistance, such as industrial piping systems, hydraulic systems, etc.
2. Flare fittings effectively reduce the risk of leakage by flaring the end of the pipe into a flared shape, which then fits with the tapered part of the fitting to form a double seal.
3. Specialized tools and skills are required for flaring and installation.
4. The sealing performance of flare fittings is excellent, and the sealing is mainly realized by crimping the slant side inner sealing way, which avoids the end face of the pipe from contacting with the fluid.
5. Flare fittings have strong pressure-bearing capacity, and the pipe wall at the flare is strengthened so that it can withstand higher pressure.
MATTERS NEED ATTENTION：
1. Saw off the appropriate length of pipe, need to remove the port burrs.
2. Expand one end of the pipe uniformly into a flared shape using special tools (flapper and heat gun).
3. It is recommended to apply lubricating oil during assembly.
4. Make sure the two ports fit perfectly by means of a nut or other fastening means to achieve a secure connection. Do not over-twist when tightening as this may damage the fitting or crack the pipe at the flared end.
5. When purchasing flare fittings, consider the application as this will affect the material type, shape, size and desired durability. Fittings are threaded or unthreaded and come in many shapes, styles, sizes and schedules (wall thickness)

Perfect fitting set for 1/2 NPT to flare. Well made, threads are well cut and tight. Brass looks good. Great for hooking up tubing to regulators and pipes. No complaints.

3/8 NPT to 3/8 flare fittings. Value in a 3 pack and solid brass. Won’t be using the plain white teflon tape that came with it since gas fittings require proper tape/dope, but that’s the only downside to these….gotta have your own tape/dope. Got to have them for most propane/natural gas hook ups to small heaters…and they don’t come with the heaters…..
