I needed some tether points for my Pelican Mustang 100x, because it didn’t come with any. I was able to lift the kayak with only the two on the front and back. I haven’t had any problems with leaking or any problems with them at all. The rivets are a great alternative to screws which can stick out in the way or be sharp. They were very easy to install and so far I am very happy with them. Would buy again!

These fasteners were easy to install on our sit on top kayaks for adjustable seats; would recommend.

I liked the sturdiness of the product and the rivets attached perfectly to the Kayak and seem to be very secure. Used to attach a new seat and was a great improvement.

First time installing something like this on a plastic kayak. I picked a drill bit that was just slightly small so that the rivet was an interference fit, to reduce wiggle room and maybe less liklihood of any water infiltration.I put the O-ring between the boat and the rivet (not between the rivet and the padeye as in the marketing photo) because that's the interface that actually requires sealing. Once the rivets were secured the O-ring was compressed significantly. My pop rivet 'gun' took two presses to completely seat these rivets.Wasn't sure how strong the padeye would be but it FEELS very sexure; easily lifted the weight of one end of a large tandem kayak with no noticeable wiggle.

I installed 3 of these on a couple kayaks to hook up a brush clip to. I tested it outside the water and yanking hard on the eyes after riveting them down proves to me they're on there snug. For 10$ these are sweet. They come with silicone washers to keep the rivet watertight, and they're very easy to install. Use a 3/16 bit through the eye mount hole to start, then finish the hole, place one rivet in. Repeat in the other side then swivel it away and finish that hole. Insert both rivets and crank them down. Took me about 10m to do 3 of them.Recommend for the $, real cheap way to add some eyes to any kayak, especially without access to the underside.

My kayak need more tie-down locations and the served the intended purpose. I ended up using screws and polybutylene sealant as the rivets were inadequate, even with the sealant. I guess the kayak wall thickness is either too small or too thick since the first good yank on the cleats popped a few of them completely free. So, stainless steel screws and poly sealant. Still recommend both the product and the supplier!
