They do a very decent job if you don't rush and take it easy. Comes with a lot of bits for you to go through if you are burning through them. Especially very durable on a drill press. Just make sure they are straight because got a couple that are not perfectly straight among the small sizes

I had my doubts, as many of you probably do. 230 drill bits for ~$40. What's the catch? I mean, they are way too cheap to be any good, right? Well, for soft wood, plastic, and easy to drill materials, they cut like butter. They track straight and measure fairly close via caliper. Honestly, I'm surprised at how decent these are. Heck, my hazard fraught set (the ones with hex shanks) don't even spin straight in my drill chuck, nor do they drill half as well as these.Negatives? There are a ton of little bits that are less likely to be used. Also, only 1 of each of the big sizes. But I knew that going in, so it's more of an observation than anything. Figure, if you had to have a burner set of drill bits for things you don't care as much as about, these are perfect. I'd totally recommend them as a second set to your nicer set. Use these when you are worried about breaking/damaging other bits, or if you need to drill metal, you can toss this bit after use. I'm happy with these at their price point.

If you're like me, you have several drill bit sets in your workshop with the smallest bits missing. This set supplies quite a few small bits to fill in the gap. Drill bits are a commodity item, with not much to distinguish the lot. I mean, these bits work well enough. The smaller ones break, just like any other bit. So, you are getting what is advertised... a large assortment of mostly smaller bits, which is quite useful.The quality on these are generally pretty good, although I did find a few in here that were out of alignment. That is, they were slightly bent and thus not usable. The case is really a cheap case, and does not keep the smaller bits seperated. Also, the case has no clear markings as to which size bits are in each compartment.But, overall, you're getting what you're paying for here.

Great kit for the tradesman, homeowner, or hobbyer. I really like the compartments slots for the drill bits. The slots seal against the cover so as if the closed case is dropped, all the drills stay within its own compartment and they fon't get all mixed up.... I testd this a couple of times by closing and latching the cover and manually shooked up the case. The slots are labled, though a bit difficult to see at times, if the embossed numerical fraction characters were highlighted with a white contrast paint of some sort, it would greatly increase visibility and quickly identify the needed bit. I do enjoy the multiple bits in almost all sizes. What do you do when you break a bit out of other drill bit sets that only provide "A" bit for each size. You are out of luck. This set provides several bits of almost all sizes. It also includes a 3/8" shanked 1/2" bit. To increase easier access, a small finger tab on each side of the molded case cover would greatly help with quick easy opening of the case. I can't speak to durability and longevity of the bits themselves only because I haven't had the set very long. I have used it a few times recently but haven't really tested/challenged the performance of the bits in metals and such. I have only used them in some woods and white metals. I can tell you that the ground tip configuration (angle) is the appropriate configuration.Over all, this seems to be a great value product for the money.
