Very cheaply made plastic is thin. And if you think you're gonna get the reel in the bag it comes with think again it does not fit. I WILLbe returning this item. My arm can wind my cords better than this

The reel is light weight and durable. I used it to wrap two very long extension cords onto and it works very well to simplify the process to accessing the cords when needed. Before, dealing with the very long extension cords was a big pain.

This was a good price. I wanted something inexpensive because I might have to modify it. I’m using it for my backwash hose for the pool. Fits a 75 foot hose perfectly. I did modify it a bit but it works great.

I love the fact I can roll up my 50 foot electric cord for my small trailer with ease and not doing it by hand and causing the cord to twist and turn inside its cover. I've seen many a electric cord twisted out of shape because somebody has wrapped the cord around their elbow and hand and the cord gets all twisted out shape. This stops the cord from twisting ever a again. Great idea and keeps my cord clean and dry.

When I look at the materials and craftsmanship of this cable wrapper, I ask myself why I didn't just hold out for a garage sale and spend 50 cents there. Because I'm an impatient minion of consumer culture, that's why.Briefly: The construction is far from rugged. The seam at the top between the two halves of the handle screams for mercy lest I step on it. The wheel spins nicely. Overall it looks cheap in my recording studio, but that makes me more hipster, I suppose. Please don't judge me; you try wrapping 50-ft. mic cords without any help. I'm not impressed with this thingy, but I'll keep it.

Even though it was all plastic and felt a little flimsy, it works great and it ended up being very sturdy.

Would it be so hard for these things to come with instructions? this is the second one I tried and after 40 minutes of fighting with it I finally googled how to reel an extension cord. Not a full minute later my 100 ft 12g extension cord was neatly reeled and stored away. You have to fold your cord in half, then attach the loop (or if it's too thick like mine kind of hold it in place until you get going) onto the cord notch in the reel and away you go. So easy. Now that I know "the secret" I will use that first one I got for a smaller cord.I will say I flung this one around in utter frustration quite a lot and it took the beating. So it seems very sturdy.

I use a 20ft training leash with my dog. This helps me store it without being a mess. Plus the included bag makes it easy to carry.

Actually used it to reel up my pool discharge hose. Worked like a charm.

I chose to try this cord storage reel to help keep crab pots rope lines from being tangled each time out. It makes tying onto pot easy with end easily located. Then unrolling as lowering pots until knot of next rope keeps multiple pots lines untangled. This reel may seem small, but hold up to 200' (2 x 100') ropes without tangling. All I need now are brackets to mount the reel onto boat for cranking up the pots. I'm not sure if product of all plastic can handle pots with crabs in them while cranking up, but will try it soon.
