These instruments are expensive and need a tank-like protection...this one fits the bill. It's not light like full carbon fibre, but it does a good job keeping my son's cello safe.

This case is lighter than many other options at this price point. It has some neat additions, including padded straps, interior pockets, and a music sheet holder doubling as a back pad. Finally it has a beautiful finish rather than the plastic monochrome of many cases.

I didn't want to spend a huge amount of money but I wanted something light that looked nice. I read all the reviews and finally settled on this one and have no regrets! It DID have an odor [as some reviewers stated] but I left it open for a day in the bright sun and it disappeared. If you don't carefully close and clasp it correctly at first, I would imagine that it could get misaligned and cause problems later. However, I was careful to line things up for the first few times I used it and now it works without getting twisted or difficult to close and clasp. I am very happy with everything about it. Highly recommend if you want a case that protects your instrument without being overly heavy and terribly expensive. Spend your extra cash on a better bow!

The case is nowhere near the color on Amazon, which shows a pretty, robust red. The case looks rose-pink. Everyone tells my daughter they love her pink case. She doesnât like pink so not a win. The latches seem very flimsy. Iâll be shocked if they hold up. The music pocket was half off on arrival, which I replaced but anticipate it will continue to detach. I would have exchanged for a different color but realized it was returnable too late. It dies fit well, but overall seems flimsy. It was recommend by her instructor who has no complaints about her âblackâ case, which is actually silver.

I've read all the review before I purchased this case, but when I got the product I have to leave this review for the future buyer, because I've been through a lot of trouble to return.First, I did read one review before I bought this said it smells a lot. When I got the product, it really smells when you open it.Second, the buckles seem like a good quality but there's no lock at all, this bothers me. Mostly you don't lock the case but sometimes it's necessary.Third is the main reason I have to return, the design of the back straps location is not good. My daughter complains that back pain when she carries the case when the cello is inside.But to be fair the price the look and the poly carbon material is good, for 1300 you only can get ABS from BAM.And last this is more like a stand up case so when you lay down the case to open, the lid tend to close down all the time, which my daughter doesn't like as well.

Handle and back pad rivets broke three months after purchase with light use; of course, Amazon would not take it as a return. Now have to negotiate with a company in China for a warranty return . . . NOT happy. Also, the hinges are flimsy and the two sides of the shell don't align smoothly when you close the case, plus the closures snap your fingers when you close. Not a $600+ item. Definitely not.

Bought this case for my son who's been playing for a few years now. His old case was big, had broken wheels, and the backpack straps made his cello sit too high (he couldn't walk through a door). My son's instructor has a Bam case and this thing is very comparable!The claps do an excellent job of holding the case tightly closed, the interior is high quality, it's lightweight, and the backpack straps are great!The only 3 minor downsides are that when we got the case, we had to let it air out and spray fabreeze inside it because it has a very strong chemical odor. What we did worked, though. Second, when you are not wearing the case like a backpack, you either have to unclip the straps or tighten them up so they won't drag on the ground (like I said, minor). Third, we had to order this case twice because the first time we ordered it, it never showed up. Amazon was great and refunded our money, and when we tried again, it came a day before the expected delivery date.

Generally I think this case is good. I wanted a good, protective case and this fits the bill. My son accidentally knocked it over with his cello in it and the cello wasnât even out of tune. I was pleasantly surprised. The design is good. I like the strap that holds the neck in, as well as the elastic to hold the scroll. Itâs a bit cumbersome when closing the case because the neck area is a bit tight, so to get everything to line up right takes a little bit of practice.There have been a couple of things that arenât holding up very well. Having the music pouch is really nice, but one of the rivets fell off the 2nd time we used it. Luckily we found it and were able to reattach. I like the design of the handle to pull it along on the wheels, but after only having this case for a couple of months, one of the plastic clips on it broke. Iâm sure I could find a new handle, but itâs annoying to have to do so on such a new case. Also, one of the little rubber pieces to protect the case and floor when setting it down broke off. With all of these little things going wrong in such a short amount of time, I wonder how durable the case will be in the long run.

This case is significantly lighter than the fiberglass case that I had previously. You can tell it has a high quality designâ from the clasps to the leather handles. The backpack straps are convenient and very soft. I have only had this case for a couple of days, so it is hard to know much about its durability. However, the material it is made out of is supposed to be very durable.
