I bought this because it is a 2 in 1. Admittedly, I have yet to use the slicer portion however, I feel it would work just great and according to the other reviews it does. The grater however, is not the best. I purchased this one because it had the little holder which in turn would keep me from knicking my fingernails on the larger zesting plane. This does not live up to the ease. The garlic once it's gets to the last piece to grate it shoots from under the holder part and even when placed back in, it doesn't grate, so now I have wasted garlic. I don't mind scraping the garlic off the bottom but it's not as smooth as just a regular garlic press. I use garlic almost daily so I have purchased every garlic gadget on the market. I just want something that will grate my garlic with ease without having to spend a bunch of money!

This is the most useless kitchen tool I’ve purchased in a long time. It does a terrible job grating the garlic and an even worse job slicing it. It feels like it is going to break in my hand the product is so flimsy. And the non function of the product is right on par with the ability to clean the product. It is terrible to clean and worse to put back together after you’ve cleaned it. I used it once and it went to the garbage bin. Save your money and don’t purchase this product. Buy a microplane and a sharp knife.

Bought this to slice my garlic I used to a knife but this is going to be much easier and safer. It is very sturdy and feels like it would last a long time.

I saw something similar to this on Milk Street's site, but it was a little pricey, particularly with shipping. Since I'm a Prime member, and the combined cost was about 1/3 or less, I decided to give this a try. Cuisinart is a good brand, so I was optimistic. It works very well. If you plan to use the slicer function, don't crush your cloves to get the skin off... it works best with a whole clove. But all in all, I'm pretty impressed. The mincer works like a charm.

I love adding garlic to dishes, and this works great for grading or slicing garlic without worrying about my fingers. I used to use a micro blade greater and found that I was wasting half the garlic cause it was getting too close to my fingers and my fingers were smelling of garlic. This deals with both issues. Love it!

Worked great the first couple of uses but now the sliding part slides off. Maybe from being washed in the dishwasher? I’d recommend hand washing if it’s not already recommended on here. I think the heat from the dishwasher ruins the hard plastic and deforms it.

This is hands down the best tool I have ever used for garlic. Easy to clean! All I do after I finish with the garlic is rinse all of the garlic that's left on it off (garlic gets really sticky when it dries on stuff making it super difficult to get off afterwards) then I just put it in the washer. Super easy! I always feel like my fingers are safely away from all the sharp parts. Now I just have to train my husband to rinse it off after he uses it!Super good product!

Handy little gadget for grating or slicing garlic. I find the slider thing pops out easily but I think I just have to practice the technique a bit. Overall, I like it.

So far so good. Only used twice, and the operation isn't 100% smooth but the garlic does not get stuck and produces nice thin slices. My only complaint would be that the grater, which is beyond the slicer, gets garlic in it unless you can control your movements and not go that far. Would be nice if the two operations were separate on the slicer or there was a little wall or bump between the two so you can't go into the grater area when you just want to slice. Hopefully this will be durable and provide years of use. I'll come back and review if it doesn't.
