I live this. We use it every morning while eating breakfast, usually get one chapter in. Great way to get your Bible time in, especially for moms with a lot of little kids and not much time to sit and read.

We own several of these. They are amazing for encouraging Biblical knowledge. I like having these playing i the background while we are doing other things. I like the enthusiasm of the readings and the fact that the dramatization does not take away from the literal Word.

This is a low quality product. When it is turned on, it plays for a couple of seconds and then goes into an idle mode. I am not able to listen to the Bible, the way the device was supposed to be.

My daughter was so excited to receive this to listen to before bed. Once we got it in it was working and all of a sudden stopped. Battery was full but I charged it anyway and same thing. It played for a few seconds and then the speaker stopped (even though the time was still ticking). I’m not sure if this is normal for this product or if I just got a faulty one. If it worked as described, I would rate this a 5 star because we really enjoyed it the intermittent times it was playing.

This thing holds a good charge, sounds good and I enjoy the changing voices and background noise. I tend to read the NIV so I get to appreciate some translation differences when I read and listen in tandem. The method for finding verses is pretty straightforward if you know the order of the books of the Bible, otherwise you'll need a reference.

I was initially surprised at how small and how lightweight this was. I was wondering if it would sound as cheaply as it felt/looked. However, I was very pleasant surprised. I began listening right away and couldn't get enough. The drama/reading of the ESV is really well done. There were parts when I was listening where I had tears in my eyes. As another reviewer said, the volume has so many settings so there's not that "in between" where it's too loud or too soft. I've been using it so much and I'm only down one bar on the battery. Very happy with my purchase! If there were ONE thing I would change, it would be easier if the screen had letters for the books (Gen. for example) instead of numbers.

I enjoy listening to this masterfully dramatized version of the spoken Word. The words are delivered slowly, deliberately, expressively, and in character by both the male and female readers, which I very much like. In my opinion, which may be unique to me, the only weakness in this presentation is an occasional obtrusiveness of the background music, detracting a bit from my concentration on the words. The player is excellent, delivering a clear sound with plenty of volume. It is quite easy to operate and will quickly take you in the Bible wherever you want to go. The battery retains its charge a long time, and the earphone (included)/speaker jack make it versatile for listening. The Operating Manual is well-written and easily understood. It also includes some materials that are helpful in learning the Bible. Well done.

CHANGED OUR LIVES!!!!! If you are reading this, then you have found the best product that Amazon has for sale! I am serious... this thing has changed our lives and I wish I could afford to buy one for everyone in the world! The voices are great, the battery lasts forever, and it is super easy to navigate even by my 7-year-old. We have six children ages 2 to 12, and so it gets used almost all day by someone. At breakfast we listen to Proverbs at the table so I can eat (I used to try to read aloud but that didn't work), at lunch we are currently going through Acts. Then at nap time my three-year-old has been listening to John every single day so he has a lot of it memorized. At night the boys usually want to take it upstairs and listen to their book of choice.We used to try to listen to the Bible on my iPhone but that was just annoying because then when I needed to use my phone I would have to find the child who had it and make them stop listening, so that's why I love having this stand-alone device instead.BUY IT... you will be so glad you did!
