Well, if you have to use one of these , you know that they’re not all the same. And this was a good unit for the price.

The instructions are clear, and a tracking chart is included. You are encouraged to use the QR code on the instructions for a calculation of the range of readings to expect, but you have to register with a credit card and there is a $59.99 per month fee. Otherwise, I would have given a 5 star rating.

Honestly, it works great. It is consistent with my in-office readings with my allergist's equipment. It helps me know when to take my rescue inhaler and helps me track the efficacy of maintenance inhaler. Thanks for a solid product for an affordable price!

Knowing the airflow in COPD and asthmatic is vital. This meter helps know when you need extra help. I'm happy with my purchase. Easy to use, easy to read results.

This is a good replacement for a manual peak flow meter, and the price is reasonable. I wish I had purchased it sooner!

I used this for about a month before upgrading to a unit with an associated app. I like this thing for a quick reading and for the ease of keeping it clean. I found it under-reported the throughput compared to a 'better' unit. Have not confirmed with a clinical spirometer so I can't be sure. It does do a good job of giving you a sense of the levels you're at, so if you wake up somewhat breathless you can confirm in the numbers to see how far off 'normal' you are. Would at least be a conversation starter with your doc. What I really didn't like was tracking it all myself. The one I ended up getting has an app, connected via bluetooth, that has you blow 3x and takes the best as your score for that round. Tracks over time so you can see the chart and prepares a chart to upload to your doc. Also tracks notes and levels of several common traits such as breathlessness or wheezing so you can see how often those specific traits come up at a glance. If you're serious about monitoring your breathing, that's the kind of feature set you need.

This smaller machine is wonderful! It is small and light enough for my purse. It also delivers the best accuracy of my breathing. I feel very safe and confident when I use it that it is telling me how my breathing is doing. I will be buying one for upstairs and one for downstairs besides the one I have in my purse. Do not be afraid of changing brands. This one is nice and it really delivers accuracy.
