Trying to get the caliper piston back in was nearly impossible to the point the boot tore while installing and I didn’t realize until I drove the car and leaked brake fluid all over. I spent over an hour trying to get my piston back in as gently as possible. I went to auto zone and bought a different brand and got the piston back in within 5 minutes so it wasn’t a problem with my piston or caliper or assembly just poorly fitting reseal kit.

Doesn't fit 2004 honda insight CVT even it said so, inner oring is too big, outer rubber ring fits fine.

It took 3 orders to get this 'sort of' right. First 2 boxes came with different parts inside. One part kind of fits 1st gen Honda Insight, one doesn't fit. The one that sort of fits has the number B4765 on it. The other one has different number. The second order, again two boxes, same thing: same boxes, two different parts. The third time I got lucky and got the right part. They all look very similar, you can't tell the difference unless you try to fit them or look at them side by side. The one that doesn't fit is too big in various ways. The lip that fits into the groove to hold the boot in place is too thick, for example. The diameter's also a bit too big. I didn't use the primary seal, just the dust boots. All but one seal was too big. The B4765 part that sort of fits is also a bit big but it more or less works. Basically, I wouldn't recommend buying these for the Honda Insight. Try Rockauto: I bought some Centric ones as back-ups and they appear to be designed better and appear to be the right size.

Fixed both my miata front brakes with thee, my pistons were not all that corroded, a little scotch brite and they were as good as new. The dust boot is a little fiddly to install, I got them in by placing the inner seal in, pushing the dust seal over the piston on the edge, pushing the piston almost all the way in and then working it into it's groove.

This has to be the worst company I've ever ordered from. Not only have they put wrong part sizes in the box on more than 1 occasion. The parts only fit if you really force it. They materials in the rubber is wonky and doesn't work. These parts have been a waste of time and so has this company. Never again Dorman.

Fits, so far so good.TIP= Install the outer seal from the rear of the piston, and pull it so the part of the seal that rests inside of the caliper is hanging over the rear of the piston, gently fit the seal lip into the caliper body And Then slowly push the piston into the caliper. Use a little brake fluid on the inner seal so make pushing the piston in easier.

Amazing!!!! This was so easy to learn how to use and fix! I treat my sammy bad and use it in the back woods and this product is still holding up great! Veru easy quick fix
