Welded filter bags have no needle holes or potential thread/fiber contamination to fluids. Polyester felt has good general resistance to acids, alkalis, solvents and oils. Has the same efficiency as the filter media/no efficiency loss due to imperfections.

I know this is crazy but this filter is great for cold brew and sifting fines out. If you cut the filter up into little squares, it absorbs a vast majority of the fine sediment without clogging. It's also easily rinseable afterwards. Would just suggest cleaning before first usage and wetting the filter before pouring coffee in.

The opening is 7" but it opens up to 10 1/2 inches wide and is 31 inches long. It is NOT one micron. Very thick material. I dont know who at this company does the measuring but they need to give that job to someone else.

Works well, but i Wish the drawstring was more than a pair of thin cotton strings. Cant use them, unless i dont ever un-tie it.

Filters wonderfully. Just make sure you check your dimensions. I accidentally bought this one and had to cut it into 6 small ones.
