I've had several of these style reels for the better part of 20 years. Recently they started going out one by one and I find myself needing to replace them. I was hesitant because the ones I've seen in places like Walmart are complete crap compared to the ones I've been using. But I was pleasantly surprised to find these are really good.Solid construction that seems to be comparable with my older ones. The addition of a couple of nice touches like the cord holder that does its best to keep the cord in line with the reel and seems to do a pretty decent job in it. Also, the addition of USB ports is a nice touch.So far I have no complaints and it was nice to find something that's stacked up to what I've become used to.

I bought the extension cord holder bc I got tired of my cord being all over the place.This is a 100 foot heavy duty extension cord & it wrapped it all up without a problem & the other 4 outlets work as well.It's portable & I can easily carry it wherever I need it.It does the job & you can't go wrong with buying it.Handle & crank feels sturdy & supportive, so far so good.I'll keep you posted if it ever fails me.

It's a little flimsy - the plastic round shields on either side of the coil drum feel as though they're just WAITING to break; there's no way to secure an extension cord TO the outlets - which is absolutely necessary when using tools such as a leaf blower which - due to their own plug shields, cannot be directly plugged into this extension cord. It CAN hold 50' of 12-gauge cord, but just barely. What I REALLY needed was a reel which allows the cord to be pulled OFF the drum rather than the way this item is engineered: you always have to carry that reel WITH you, unrolling the entire drum from your outlet, which isn't always convenient. Knowing that in advance, I thought I'd give this sort of system a try, but its functionality will only useful for very limited application at my home - where I've hardwired/placed outdoor receptacles literally everywhere on my 2-acre lot. But that's just me. And therefore, I'm not rating this on its lack of suitability for my needs, but rather on the quality and design of the device.February 2, 2024 - review update:I was surprised to be contacted by the seller, who offered a full refund which I gratefully accepted.

I have a 100 foot extension cord that was hard to coil up and with this it’s super easy to do both (coil and uncoil) plus you have 4 outlets to use once it’s where you need it. Wish I had bought it sooner!

These reels are so easy to use and they keep my cords from getting tangled up, making them much easier to use when I need them. Great value for the money. I’m going to get a couple more.
