I like the hand cleaner . I've been using it for years now but under the previous name of Mean Green. This is my second tub as I sent the first one back. The first tub was extremely dry....it had actually shrunk quite a bit inside the container. It was very crumbly. May have been either stored in a high heat- low humidity environment or was extremely old....who knows. The second tub which I have included a couple of pictures.. is also very dry as you can see but not near as bad as the first tub. I turned it upside down and the product came right out of the tub....I didn't want to return it again so I put it back in the tub and added a bit of water in hopes that it would reconstitute it for easier use...and it did.

I have been using this for two years now to scrub out poison ivy rashes. As others have mentioned, this stuff works great. I first bought it a few years ago when I got my first poison ivy rash. Even though the rash did not show up until a week or so after exposure and had been around for a few days after that, this stuff still managed to treat it. I would use this to scrub the rash in the morning and evening which each time would keep the itching at bay for about 12 hours. After about the 2nd day of using it, the rash was gone.Just a few weeks ago, I was working with some neighbors to clear out a very large patch of poison ivy vines and brushes. The poison ivy had already sprouted, and I was literally carrying away bundles of poison ivy vines with branches and leaves sticking in my face. When I got home, did a head to toe scrub down with this stuff (probably used about 6 oz total), and had zero rashes the next day. There have also been numerous times in-between where I would get a rash from being the wooded area around the house and immediately treat it with this stuff when the rash started itching. In these cases, I usually only had to scrub the rash once or twice before it was gone. All in all, I would highly recommend this stuff. I keep at least 16 oz. stocked at home at all times just in case.

So, like many other reviewers have stated, this is an excellent product to help combat the dreaded poison ivy rash. After assisting a neighbor with a large tree branch that had fallen during a storm, I noticed my inner arm was itching and had a small rash. I brushed it off as a minor irritation. That was my mistake. It quickly spread to a large portion of both arms, the back of my neck, my chest, stomach and part of my thigh. Basically the rash was covering about 40% of my body. I then spent the next week and half treating the rash with calamine and other poison ivy related creams. These relieved the itching for a few hours and then had to be re-applied. This was not only a big inconvenience, it was also messy as the creams would get all over my clothes and furniture. After finally becoming fed up, I decided to look online for remedies. That is when I found Mean Green soap and I decided to purchase it based on the reviews. Since I had a large area to treat I purchased the 64 oz tub with next day shipping. I received it on a Tuesday afternoon and immediately showered with it that night. What a difference. Just 3 minutes of scrubbing each area of the rash individually led to hours of itch relief with no additional treatment needed, no calamine or creams. I continued to shower with the soap twice a day repeating the 3 minute scrubbing technique, which relieved the itching for the entire day/night, and by Saturday morning I was able to start showering with regular soap again. The rash/itching was gone. What a God send!Bottom line: If you have/get poison ivy, order this product!

An almost magical product for poison ivy relief ... Fort the past week I've suffered poison ivy all over both hands, arms, and shoulders. I've been waking up at 3am itching all over - nightmarish symptoms overall. I tried antihistamines, calamine, IvaRest, Benadryl lotion, steroid creams ... nothing worked much. The Zyrtec pills helped for about 4 hours, but by dinner time I'm scratching all over again. While researching products on Amazon, I came across this stuff, and figured anything was worth a shot, and since I also get grimy hands on a daily basis, I figured it wouldn't hurt. When you open the tub, it looks like green pla-doh. I made a soft paste with a bit of water and slathered it all over my arms and decided to just let it sit for 10 minutes or so, then I hopped in the shower to rinse. The areas on my upper shoulders that I hadn't hit with this stuff started burning immediately, so hopped out & grabbed some more, slathered up, rinsed off .... the results were, well, weird. The swelling simply went away. The change in appearance was strange - I've never seen my skin react so quickly to anything. It took 5 days for the poison ivy to become apparent all-over, and about 20 minutes for it to go away. All I can see now are some scratcy areas where I must have scratched myself while itching, and a few red dots, some minor bumps that were angry and red when I started... Oh, and my skin feels soft and smooth to boot! Now I have to don some gloves and more of this magical green paste and go disinfect my weed-eater, which I've been afraid to touch since this whole mess started... All told, I probably used a tablespoon of the magical green dough, so I have a lifetime of hand-cleaning and poison-ivy cure left over. In a nutshell - the best stuff for poison ivy I've ever used in 40+ years (and it'll clean your hands like a champ too!).... :)
