Quality control was lacking on mine. I can’t return it because time frame for return has expired. I wasn’t able to install it to try, for about a month after I received it. Issue is the arm sleeve assembly rubs against the back of the hole port, that it comes through. Even with the lock function engaged. It sticks and doesn’t allow free movement, causing issues with the tuning. Very dissatisfied!!

I bought this tremolo as the title states it's nickel—well, it's not. Nickel is better for aging, which is what I intended to do. But it's not nickel, it's chrome plated, so the product title is downright lying. Other than that, the tremolo works well.

Great upgrade for any Jazzmaster that didn't come with the AVRI unit.

Typical US Fender quality. Much heavier duty and better functioning than my original Japanese unit. Great upgrade.

Great tremolo unit - no need to go super fancy with Mastery or StayTrem.

I wish the picture didn't show the tremolo arm, because I definitely didn't read the description, and I was bummed to find out it doesn't come with the arm. That's life though.

Good term unit. It should not picture the term arm as it's not included. Kind of misleading.

Fit perfectly in my Classic 60s Lacquer Jazzmaster. Negative reviews state the obvious fact that it doesn't come with the trem arm, and if you're replacing the Mexican ones (Blacktop, Roadworn, Classic Lacquer), you will need to source an AV trem arm. It also doesn't come with monuting screws, but you already have those in the one you're replacing. Not a big deal. The trem lock is important if you're using an alternate tuning or break a string. I purchased an AV trem arm, and it fits perfectly. There are slight variations in the thickness of the chrome plating on the newer Av trem arms. The one I purchased was a little loose in the collet (it wasn't going to fall out, but it didn't stay in place perfectly), however after slightly bending the teeth under the trem plate (not too hard, or you'll risk breaking them), the trem arm stays in place.I feel like the action of this tremelo is smoother than the one that was on my guitar initially. It's an easy upgrade and one i recommend if you're into dropped-d or -c tunings, or if you risk breaking strings. If, by chance you are unaware and/or new to the world of these amazing Fender offset guitars, there are several great forums on the internet full of information from knowledgeable people about them. A quick internet search will get you there.

Needed this to replacement for my Road Worn Jazzmaster. The one that came with the guitar didn't have a trem lock (bad news if you break a string). Was easy to set up and works fine. It doesn't come with the trem arm and my trem arm doesn't work with it, i guess they have a modern version of the arm. I chose this one over the japan one because allegedly the spring is better and because i knew it would fit my guitar. My only beef with this part is that the trem arm slot thing sometimes buzzes. next time i chance the strings I'm going to see if i can rectify the situation internally.
