This needed to be modified to fit an American Standard Jazz Bass. The cutout for the knob plate is off, and won't allow the original nor the provided knob plate to fit without modifying the pickguard or knob plate or drilling new holes.

Looks spectacular and fits my USA Geddy Lee signature bass perfectly. HOWEVER: the control cover when installed for some reason was generating noise - almost as if there was a connection problem. Removed the control cover - everything is fine. Check connections, install it back - noise... I even tried covering the bottom with copper shielding... still the same. Keeping the pickguard cover, but not the control cover.... how unfortunate...

These look great, the one side is polished and the other side is brushed. I choose the brushed side. It took minor fitting around the neck pocket which I was able to do with hand files in about 5 minutes. Two holes didn't line up perfectly and needed to be reworked. But you can expect that with any pickguard install. It may fit without any rework. The control panel and pickguard mate real nice. Looks great, bumped the value up $100 in cosmetics.

I guess you just never really know if any 3rd party parts will actually fit *your* specific brand, model, year etc. This is a regular old 4-string MIM Fender Player Jazz Bass perfectly. It feels and likely is heavier & higher quality than standard plastic pickguards. The brushed pattern is very subtle but that's good in my opinion, it makes the instrument looks sharp.

I had to make these fit right. I had to shape out the neck pocket a little more and ended up having to fill the hole on my control panel and drill new ones to make it look right. After all said and done though it does look very nice.

Battipenna fantastico, sul mio jazz nero sta una favola... ma c'è un grosso problema, il battipenna si comporta come un'antenna per la schermatura... i frusci aumentano notevolmente.Se provate a saldare un filo per mettere a massa il battipenna non attacca bene sull'alluminio, ma il prlbme principale è che è anodizzato quindi per eliminare l'effetto antenna del battipenna dovete carteggiare la parte interessata e saldarci un filo con l'acido oppure metterlo a massa col circuito tramite una molla a contatto.. e tutto si risolve. Per il resto consiglio vivamente.

Holes lined up nicely. I haven’t even bothered to screw it in. It stays in place without the screws.

This fit my MIM jazz bass perfectly with absolutely no modifications needed, all the screw holes, holes for the pots and input jack were perfectly aligned, took 10 minutes to install. Looks awesome!
