The neck was in great shape when it arrived and packed well. The neck was perfectly straight and fit the neck pocket perfectly. The frets were well polished. Only work I had to put in was a bit of reaming to expand the tuner holes to fit the bushings and i had to drill in and install the string tree. Once it was all done, the guitar came out great!

Ok, I'm a snob. I admit it. If it's not vintage or boutique, I'll look down my nose at it. I was in a bind, I needed a 50's style Strat neck with the features I wanted right away. Normally I would find a Musikraft neck on Reverb. Srbled across this neck instead and decided to try it. Boy, am I glad I did! This is a true hidden gem among the reissue pau ferro garbage! Nice soft V profiles feels great! No bulky shoulders. Medium jumbo frets and 9.5 radius means low action and NO choking when bending strings! Vintage tuners mount right up with no problem. Neck bolted right up to my MJT body with no shims. Pilot slots on the nut makes final slot filing a breeze. I use the Music Nomad nut files. Frets were perfect, no levelling needed. Installed a Fender reissue string tree and it's all good. Neck plays and feels great! Has a gloss poly finish front and back with no ridiculous overly orange aged finish. With the soft V profile and lack of excessive shoulder, I don't miss or feel the need for rolled fingerboard edges. This is a great neck, grab one before they screw up and discontinue it!!!

The neck is nice, but buyer BEWARE. It did NOT come as described. First, it was all gloss rather than satin on the back (as it was described- Amazon has updated the description). Second, it was clearly a return because the packaging was ripped and thrown together. It looked as if it hadn’t been installed. So I am going to keep it rather than return it.It appears that Amazon is a crap shoot with some things.

Très bon manche Fender, seul inconvénient, le sillet est brut et doit donc être travaillé. Sinon super manche !!!

I am building a guitar and I want it to replicate a 50’s vintage Fender Strat. I’m confident enough in my skills to take on a guitar neck so I ordered this one from Fender. It is really nice. Fit and finish are flawless.

The neck is really well made and looks stunning. It fit perfectly to my 1980's mij stratocaster. I was apprehensive about the soft v neck profile, thinking it would be really thick, but it wasn't a problem. The neck feels smooths and nice in the hand. The neck is made in Mexico (says America in the blurb). In terms of tuners the holes are drilled for vintage style tuners. I had a set of fender standard tuners and these were too thick. The only downside is that the truss rod adjustment is at the base of the neck, so you will have to take the neck off to make adjustments. My neck turned up not needing adjustment. The other thing to mention is that holes are pre drilled for tuners, and to screw the neck into the body. The nut needs some filing. It has been stated, but the slots are incomplete. You will also need to drill holes for a string tree.

I used this as a replacement for my Fender 50's Classic Strat. The neck is all but identical to the original, minus a lighter toner and slightly thinner feel. My only reservation is the nut is quite tall and is only filed with small guide slots, meaning it needs to be filed further to have optimal playability. Given I don't have files, I swapped out a replacement nut which did the trick. I would recommend a light sanding on the back of the neck for a smoother feel as well.
