I build guitars as a hobby and there is no replacement for OEM hardware screws that I have found to like. generic screws are not worth the risk, break one off flush and have to do a drill and plug repair one time and you will be in my camp. I am picturing the fit in a fender brand into 2 different #2 driver bits. The Milwaukee #2 bit is a full engagement "0" clearance fit and the best you can get. The craftsman screwdriver is very good to but has a ting of lateral movement but still goth will hang upside down so darn nice fitting combo. Just wanted to demonstrate what you get buying OEM Fender parts.

They screw real hard. In all seriousness, I built a custom guitar body out of purple heart. That wood has the density (and weight) of cement. Other screws from the hardware store kept snapping off inside the body - but these screws did the job! They look great and don't strip, as well.Screw it, they're awesome.

Genuine Fender screws in Fender packaging- takes the guess work out of it. I mean they're just screws. But they're the right length for full thickness (1.75") Fender bodies. Used a Squier Affinity neck on a 1.75" thick aftermarket Strat body and the Squier screws were too short (Squier Affinity bodies are sometimes thinner than Fenders, therefore they use shorter screws for the neck).

They are bolts, and high quality bolts and Fender branded. Didn't strip at all when tightening the tremolo claw, so I got to recommend. Works perfectly on my 2001 Fender Stratocaster, still working 3 months later!
