This product is so much better than standard wax ring. Just be sure to order the correct size. I believe it comes in 3" and 4". Basically it has a VERY VERY STRONG glue that sticks to the base of the toilet. And the barbed end goes in the pipe below. It's a TIGHT FIT for a reason. Do squirt some dish soap around the pipe and the fitting and simply line up the toilet and flange and drop it in. But the toilet and you're done.

I never use the wax rings. These things are the greatest invention since sliced bread. As long as you get the bottom of the bowl clean and get this stuck to the bottom you won't have leaks.

This is my third one of these, no mess. The toilet I replaced had one from like years ago. I pulled up the old toilet and the sleeve came with it. No messy funky wax to clean up. I stuck a new one on to the new toilet and plopped it down. The way the sleeve hags down actually helps guide the new toilet into place. My mounting flange is on the floor surface, sticks up about 1/2”. The seal worked perfectly. The new toilet didn’t wobble, a couple of thin plastic shims(floor is uneven) carefully tightened the bolts and caulked around it, boom done! I highly recommend this product.
