BEWARE !!! if you don't like creepy crawlies--even inanimate pic. etc of them, SLOWLY open and look inside. I was ABOUT to just pick up some of the mixture, with my FINGERS!!!, for my turtle,,, to avoid a spill but I almost SCREAMED bloody murder when I saw THE CRICKETS!! All of the creatures are well dehydrated, VERY VERY few broken or crushed but that was the problem for me , not my turtle though!! he/she has been gobbling them up since it got big enough to eat them. The container is transparent and has a tight fitting lid. Been dropped a time or two but has no indication of it. LOVE THAT!!-I wouldn't be able to clean that mess up--have to call in reinforcements/ non-fraidy types.

My Turtle loves it, it just leaves a big mess in the tank so I recommend you feed the turtle outside of the tank.

I needed to buy a gift for the neighbour's "kids." Their "mom" didn't think they'd like these. The "kids" were a little shy at first, getting a new food. Now they go crazy at the sight of the jar and will even accept hand feeding. Ha ha "mom" I was right you were wrong.

It has a good mix of yummy bites for whomever you are feeding it too. However, if you got a small one (not bigger than your palm), then expect some pieces to be too big for them.It doesn't flake/crumble and leave a bunch of powder/tiny bits at least. The pieces will soften in the water.
