This is good tortoise food, for pellets, but you don’t want to feed this or any other pellets often. It’s an occasional treat for my tortoise, and I feel strongly that it should remain that way for every tortoise owner. They need to be eating natural, edible weeds and flowers, or they will have serious health issues. Don’t be lazy and let your tortoise stuff their face with pellets every day, just because it’s easy. If you’re looking for shortcuts, then you should pass your tortoise on to someone who can give it exactly what it needs. With that said, Mazuri is the only pellets I will buy, and my tortoise enjoys it. If you’re new to Mazuri, make sure to wet the pellets before feeding. Otherwise, your tortoise will have some difficulties eating it.

To supplement the tortoise geys dry food and wet food(leafy greens). This is perfect dry food that I drip water on. He's a happy boy.

She adores these tiny pellets. I pour them into her little bowl and spray them with water and she digs right in. She's always been a bit of a picky eater so it's good to see her take to a food so energetically. I tried the bigger pellets and she couldn't eat them, but the these ones are like finger foods she just enjoys.

My baby Ollie loves these. I mixed these in his/her (too young to tell) food every other day. I've noticed that he'll search out these first before eating the rest of his food.

For the longest time he refused to eat anything except lettuce and occasional fruit (mainly watermelon). I tried three other tortoise food blends and this one, but he always refused. Eventually his shell had begun getting soft, so we got a bigger habitat/home and an extra light source; and I started getting creative with food options.He loved watermelon, so I tried mixing the food pellets with the watermelon juice and tiny fruit chunks… he loved it! After a few days I started mixing in water, then eventually (after a week or so) no watermelon - only water.His shell got strong again and ever since, this food has been a staple in his diet.
