Unit powers as described, but lighting feature is on the dim side. When the dimmer is fully increased it the lighting is incandescent and low. Appears to be meant for a club/stage environment. The voltage readout is good. Didn’t know my line voltage was so low116 VAC.

Excelente calidad, solo el medidor digital, indica mucho más voltaje de lo que en realidad llega.

Living in an area where lightning is extremely frequent, I know that power is one area it does not pay to cheap out on. Furman is a well known brand for delivering quality components at a good price. They aren't the cheapest option, but I can be fairly certain it will take the damage in the case of a catastrophic power surge. I really can't say if the voltmeter display is truly accurate, but it seems to hover around 120 with a variance of around 3 volts. This seems about right, since I share the circuit with other equipment.Well worth protecting potentially thousands of dollars in equipment, and worth your consideration over the cheaper options, tempting as they may be.

It looks great and it works properly. I know it works as it should because I was listening to my HiFi when a thunderstorm was happening hear in Alabama. Our power went out but none of my equipment was effected because the Furman protected it.IT WORKS.And it looks great doing it.

For Music Studio or Tech Savvy people, this should be considered a must have. I plugged it in and immediately the lights come on, which has a dimmer and an ON LED. What is well thought out is the outlet on the front of the interface. The back has several outlets but they have spaced out 3 of them because it appears that all manufacturers of equipment cannot make up their minds on what type of adapter to use for power and causes loss of outlets in power strips. NOT with this model, as the spacing is just right for 3 bulky adapters/transformers or whatever you want to call them. As a BONUS Furman has even thrown in a great "Owners Manual" which other products did not come with, however if you don't know how to use electricity by now, you should probably not operate this unit.

I was kind of skeptical on the pull-out lights on the unit thinking it likely wouldn’t do much in the way of lighting my 8U rack; I was wrong. They work beautifully making this a great addition to my rack. I am very happy I went with this unit and not one of the lesser models. The LCD screen is also nice to have showing me the voltage in real-time. I am quite happy with my purchase. To be honest, I only purchased this unit for the empty space I would have had in my rack and it ended up being a necessary addition that I should have been considering early on in the build.I do have one question about the M-8Dx: does anyone know if I can plug this unit (with all 9 plugs/inputs filled) into my APC1500PFCLCD battery backup/surge protector or does it need to be plugged direct into the wall? At the moment I have it plugged into the APC (which is plugged into the wall outlet) and there doesn’t seem to be any issues but am concerned as to whether or not this is proper/safe to do? I have emailed numerous sellers on this “issue” and have not received a response just yet. I will update this section with the answer once it is given to me as I feel this is relatively important to know.

The Furman M-8Dx power conditioner was the culminating purchase in the process of upgrading to a new home theater system. With the total value of equipment installed, I did not want to use a standard power strip so I began the process of researching power conditioners and surge protectors. This unit clearly sits at the intersection of great features and acceptable price. The construction is all metal and solid with plenty of outlets on the back plus a handy outlet on the front of the unit. I have not used the front outlet yet, but my component cabinet configuration makes this a real plus. The digital voltmeter is a cool feature not normally seen at this price point. I have had the unit installed for about two months and have had zero issues. Would buy it again with no concerns.
