Has great Garmin quality and looks nice mounted on the chrome standoff on the top of the cabin .

The gps antenna was out of the original packaging and was rolling around in the box. Also was missing the tee for the network cable

External antennaIf your not a shop or have Knowledge how to install the Neama 2000 back bone is needed…. This isn’t plug and play on garmin 1242 unless u have the neama2000 backbone ….. I had this Antenna for over a few months now and have it installed it due to extra items needed and knowledge the customer support from Garmin wasn’t available.

The antenna didn't solve the problem so I returned it. Sixbucks for shipping - no issue with that, but I never saw anything about a restocking fee. I'm surprised that Amazon allows this.

Quick and easy install using NMEA2000, and it really significantly improves the GPS acquistion time and effectiveness of my Garmin 9X3
