Great mount if you need flexibility to adjust the angle of your radar/taillight. Easy to install and remove when placing your light/radar on a seat bag or rear rack.

Nothing else even comes close to the Garmin seat rail mount...I know because I tried several others. This fits CORRECTLY and will bolt down SECURELY. Nothing else is worth wasting time and money on.

This item is solidly built and functions as advertised. The camera mounts very securely. I still manage to get a bag under the seat when I go on long rides (see picture).

I was bummed that I didn't have enough clearance mounting it to the seat post of my bike with the mount the varia comes with. My bike has a dropper post and that's why I couldn't.This mount works perfect. Easy to install...a little on the more expensive side, but I know it's not going to break or come off mid ride

Brilliant solution for holding up Garmin's radar. Smart design which makes the most of the space behind the saddle. What I love most is it allows the saddle bags to sit snog behind the radar without interfering. Great device and concept.

I have tried other seat mounts. Simply put, IMO, the Garmin mount is more stable and the hardware is superior to other brands. I torque the bolts to 4nm and nothing budges. I use it with the Garmin 715.

I always hated how the varia mount looked on my seatpost. I have tried all sorts of other cleaner 3D printed options but they never worked well. This one is rock solid and it looks very neat tucked up under my saddle! All the parts are very high quality and I haven’t had even a hint of slippage so far.I see another reviewer who returned this item because (in their defense) the description does say “for alloy rails” in the description. I have had no issues after a hundred or so miles on my carbon rails. Carbon is not as fragile as people make it out to be as long as you work within the limits of its material properties. I put some carbon grit paste on the clamping surfaces and have it torqued to ~4Nm and there is zero slippage. 4Nm is well under what my rails are rated for, my seat clamp is torqued almost twice as much, and those also bear my full body weight. I am not worried about an item as light as a varia clamped to such a low torque spec. Obviously proceed with whatever caution you wish, but I think these are fine for carbon rails!

Many things I like - it comes closest in design to my favorite (no longer manufactured) BarFly under seat seat-rail mount. The rail mount section is made of solid metal. Because they provided some adjustment space for the rails, it can be mounted where the rails start spreading apart and tilt upward allowing for almost full seat forward adjustment if needed. Also since they tilted the GoPro section mount upwards it fits compactly under the seat giving a seat bag ample space under the seat. (Note that you _might_ need another GoPro style extender to get past the back of the seat bag). All good.My biggest negative is the locking adapter - it seems like it would be great idea for mounting the Varia if you also go on rough trails (I regularly go on the road to and from the nearby trails). But the Varia RTL 515 does not fit in the locking adapter. The male tab/flanges on the Varia have a diameter of 27.88mm and the provided locking mount female socket is 23.78mm at widest. No explanation because there is no included document, nor info online. At the moment, when riding my MTB, I will put the Varia on with the less supportive non-locking adapter (which fits), and then take the Varia off when I'm on the trails. I hope I don't forget on the transition because I'd hate to lose the the Varia.

After buying a few under saddle mounts, I finally decided to splurge and buy this. At the time it was 10.00 off. I was not disappointed. Excellent quality and sturdy, solid mount. As this is for my gravel bike, I will need a stiff mount for the washboard roads. 100% Worth the extra money.
