Most of the tones are good, with the exception of a few at the top end. There'are sharps/flats, so you can play ANY tune--unlike most. It comes with two "hammers" which are safer than many because the ball at the top does not come off. It's a toy, but a pretty good one. Would have rated it higher if there weren't a couple of "wooden" sounding notes.

Just what I wanted! Case in my favorite color along with colorful keys along with two mallets. Great way to begin playing glockenspiel and an excellent part of the percussion family. Perfect for any song.

This was a Christmas present for my 7yr old limited verbal, ASD kiddo. He immediately said “xylophone” when he saw it & has been playing it EVERY day since he unwrapped it! The sound is great! Love the carrying case & the little feet on the case. The only reason that I didn’t give it 5 stars is bcs my son easily bent the mallets & bcs the heads of the mallets aren’t rubberized which make for a lighter sound (aka not so loud, lol).
