My only concern with this item was if the glue on the bottom of the unit would hold. I live in an area were 100+ degree summer temperatures are common, thus my concern. However, this thing has not budged an inch from where I installed it on my car dash over 7 months ago. The glue has held up well. Admittedly, I keep a car sun shield on my windshield year round, so that might have helped protect the glue.

Far better than the suction cup holder located on the windshield which was blocking the view and falling off. This baby folds up in a neat little package. Works great for me.....

Bought this when the original pedestal for my Garmin nuvi navigation unit wore out. First issue I encountered was when the navigation unit was placed in the holder it would press the release button on the power cord interface connector on the back and cause an intermittent power connection. Also the holder wobbled a lot on the dash over bumps and because it holds the navigation unit at an angle it caused the screen to reflect on the windshield.This probably works well with phones and smaller screen navigation units but I don't recommend it for the large ones.

Easy to install and allows you to view the road ahead well as keeping an eye on the speedometer. ALso holds most cell phones and most GPS units. No suction cup marks on windshield to alert "Thieves". Take your phone with you in pocket or purse or put GPS unit in the trunk. Folds down flat on dashboard and has a LOW Profile when closed. It is spring loaded to hold a phone or GPS. A little pricey compared to a suction cup but is easier to view and reminds you to remove your phone or GPS when you stop. It is a win-win for any traveler who uses map quest or google maps or regular GPS. Most people can take their GPS in their home and plan a trip by entering the address and vary their route as desired. I would still keep my GPS in a dedicated "Bag" in the trunk or elsewhere in an SUV and not in the console.

Plastic clamshell holds any phone (might even hold an iPad Mini). Adhesive so far has stuck well to our dashboard that is flat but slightly pebbled (suction mounts don’t work). Folds flat-ish when not in use. Follow directions to allow adhesive to set before use.Minus 1 star because this device should cost $5.99, not $19.99. There’s just not that much to it.

I hesitate sticking something on my dash, but the suction cup device holding my GPS has fallen several times. Now my GPS has a hoarse voice. I used a space heater in my car for 20", then attached it to my dash as directed and heated the car afterward for about 20". Drove last night. Absolutely no vibration at all. Held it super secure. I am very pleased with the placement. Note the size of it, wouldn't work on every dash. I am extremely pleased with it. It was a very good value for the money.

Replaced an old bean bag type of dashboard Garmin holder with this model. It was an excellent choice and firmly grips the GPS and holds it in place while I navigate. I am very satisfied!

I used Velcro to adhere the base to the dash carpet. No more suction caps falling off the windshield
