The suction cup that came with the Garmin GPS kept falling off the windshield. This one, so far, stays put and seems solid. A vast improvement.

It would have been worth a couple of more bucks for them to use a sturdier plastic. I've had to order two of them for our house and in both cases the ball socket is about a millimeter too small so the phone won't stay in the appropriate position. However, this is easy to fix if you just cut off an inch square piece of paper and wrap it around the ball.

This GPS suction mount cup is sturdy and reliable. It attaches securely to the windshield and holds the GPS firmly in place, even on bumpy roads and in hot sunny summer. Waiting to see how it performs in the extreme cold of Edmonton's winter. Easy to install and adjust. Great product!

Great suction cup and sturdy arm. Unfortunately it didn't work in a 2009 Volvo V50. The suction cup didn't stick to pebbled dashboard material. And the large suction cup was too large to fit elsewhere on dash. I didn't want it attached to the windshield. If the V50 had a flat cutout in the dash it would have been perfect! : (

A very thin amount of petroleum jelly on suction cup, makes it work perfect.

I have a Garmin route navigator I use for infrequent trips and this works very well. I can attach it to my windshield and adjust it easily.
