Worked perfectly as soon as I opened the perfect box it came in with no damage. The beefy still is definitely a plus. I bought a $20 quick lock at a store here in these parts called Bi-Mart. It was puny compared to this. I had the red bar and gray base. First thing I did was check the lock and key functioning. Smooth as a bottom dollar. Looks great works great. Unless you are going hardcore all locks are just to keep honest people honest. I would suggest if you're serious about stopping or making it harder for your rig to stay yours is wrap some New York bicycle antique theft chain through your leaf springs through the tires rims with an American Lock on the inside of everything so it's hard to access with a cutter. Because you're not going to use bolt cutters on those chains. They are specifically shaped so that bolt cutters cannot cut through them and they have a sleeve made of cloth that definitely stops bolt cutters either way that's not going to work. They'll have to start carrying apart leaf springs axles and the tire with the rims etc. You got to make it harder than the next guy. I doubt your rig will be worth the time because it's easier to take the next guys. And don't show your neighbors what you have or how you do it to keep it safe. Use cameras, it's 2025. The more you put on remote solar lights and everything else you can do if you really look into it. This applies to all personal property. Either make it hard enough to they go to the next Target or if they take it it's destroyed and it's useless to them. Always watch your surroundings and actually look around yourself because you have to be the watcher because no one else is going to be watching out for you. And if they do you never know who they know and what information they have for the people wanting your property. People use anti-theft bars on their steering wheel. You can bend the steering wheel or cut right through it removing that and teeth theft bar. Here on Amazon you can buy a $20 pedal lock stainless steel and they're not going to take the time to cut through that. I put three of those on my rig. Along with a lot of other things. All rigs are easy to steal. The be creative watch YouTube and see how they break stuff and think outside the box. Look up New York Kryptonite KryptoLok Series chains and locks. Research d style locks. Put a couple of these heavy duty chains and locks through your tires leaf springs axles etc. Good luck on stealing that without being seen or heard. Or moving it while we're moving the tires and cutting through chains that are definitely going to attract attention. But this lock was awesome I like it super bulky not weak looking. You have to send a message by the things you put on your rigs and property. You're not going to get this easy and it's going to cause you time and you're probably going to get noticed and caught. Because you can't count on the police to protect your property or find it. Put some air trackers on it. Basically invest as much as you want to if it means that much to you. I can't see anybody taking off for those chains and locks on every tire wrapped around every axle I leave spring. And that's just for starters. Solo-powered lights work great because they have the capability of weather resistance functionality and battery charge. Cameras are easy to use. Duh, always test out anything you buy immediately or before you purchase if possible. That is the owner and purchaser problem if they don't. Those are the people that are the ones that will be the target instead of you. Because it's easier to steal from someone who doesn't know what the heck they're doing. It's 2025 wake up

Great unit. Easy to use and put on or take off. Had a fun time opening it the very first time as the twist tie that was holding the keys was jammed in the lock but once we got it out it’s been working as intended so far for us. Definitely recommend.

Nice beefy lock. I had to modify my tongue a tiny bit with the grinder to get it to fit, but mine is a bit different than most as its reinforced.

After getting replacement (first was missing keys) I noticed keys were loose in packaging. The ties used to secure the keys came lose apparently in shipping. Suggest using plastic zip ties - not twist. Lock itself worked great. Cap for key cover doesn't seem durable - time will tell.

I am replacing a like item that I bought at a local hardware outlet, super impressed with the sturdiness of this item. Because it's going to be used on my trailer hitch that sits outside all year long, the cosmetic aspect isn't quite as important, so I will keep this item.On the other hand, I'm pretty disappointed to see the box was taped closed & there was a hole in the side of the box. I knew instantly that this was returned back to the manufacturer at some point.I wouldn't expect them to discard this item because of a chip here and there, but I would expect them to provide full disclosure.

This is one massive trailer tongue hitch lock! For the money, it can't be beat. Now as long as no one nic's my trailer, all's good in RV land. I would recommend this lock to the buyer in need of a sturdy lock.

This one has extra thick steel and easily fit the 2 inch hitch. It fits properly and tight and no way can someone knock it off. I feel good about the purchase and am relieved that the trailer is safe unattended.
