Nice solid lock. I didn't realize that the key had to be used to unscrew the lock 4-5 rotations to open lock and vis versa. Not a deal breaker, just thought it was going to be like a spring loaded shutter lock. I keep the key on a quick release chain on the key ring because it can be awkward to use with several keys on a key ring. This works excellent on a pelican type case. I bought a matching pair to keep my Harbor freight apache case that I use as a rear cargo box on my motorcycle locked and secure.

This is used for my sxs trailer and I like the value for money, ease of use, looks great and feels durable. It gives me peace of mind knowing it’s a solid lock and the weight is good. It works well and is easy to install and remove.

Works as intended. Easy to use and install. Gives you that little extra piece of mind that your trailer is locked to the truck when in use and you stop at places. Seems to be of good build quality. Wish all keys were unique, but this key is universal with other products from company. The good is one key works for all, bad is that if someone has the same thing or the key the lock is worthless. Would recommend to others that don't frequently use their trailers like me. If you use it all the time, find something with unique keys.

I bought it with sole purpose to use on my 7x16 enclosed trailer. I was under the impression that all locks (the handle you put down with a hole for this very lock) are the same. No. Not the same. Using a caliper I have measured width of my lever at 0.88 in 22.3 mm. While it states explicitly what the width is on the product, after owning a whole bunch of trailers over the years, this is first time I even had to measure a locking handle. What I plan to do is use this lock on another one of my trailers but I am disappointed because I actually like this lock. It is compact and stuff. I was able to lock my pin regardless but several threads (since its a screw in lock) are visible. I settled at that but irked a little.
