Received today and install took a total of 20 minutes. Fan works great in both directions and is so much quieter and more efficient than the factory installed 6 inch fan supplied by RV manufacturer. Another key buying factor was the fact I did not have to disrupt the original factory roof seal around existing vent cover. I would not hesitate on buying this and installing in any RV.

I purchased this to replace the fan in our 2019 5th wheel bathroom. The quality is decent for the money and installation was straightforward. The packaging could have been better. Screws were loose in the box but fortunately everything was there. Performance-wise, this thing works great. It takes care of bad smells, vents steam from the shower, and helps vent hot air on hot days very effectively. There are more expensive models but this one seems to be a good value for the money.

Slow delivery. Was missing the accessories bag with the various screws and most importantly the vent lid knob and spacer. The seller sent that quickly. The item itself was a fairly easy install if you're a bit handy. A big improvement over the standard tiny "toy" fan that was originally there. A bit noisy but it's moving a lot more air and it's in the toilet/shower room that needs it the most!I recommend it.

I bought the single speed fan, the multi speed fan was significantly move expensive at the time. That said, here’s my observations.1/ Installation was basic and straight forward. Note to self, pull 12vdc fuse supplying previous fan before removing 😳🤣2/ there are several good Youtube videos demonstrating installation process. Then do it. No changes to roof line, no caulking3/ it’s so much quieter than previous fan and it moves so much more air. Well worth it.

I have a 15-ft travel trailer. There are two roof vents, and neither came with a fan. I installed this as an exhaust fan in the bathroom. It pulls enough air to keep the bathroom smelling nice and it helps ventilate the entire trailer. You can hear it, but the noise level is low enough that it is not bothersome. My vents were made by Ventline and it was easy to install this unit without disturbing the roof seal. There is a geared arrangement that connnects to the original cover mechanism, so it is still easy to open and close the vent. There were no instructions, but any reasonably competent DIYer shoudl be able to install it. My biggest issue was getting 12V power to it. I was able to tap into the overhead light, and current drain is low enough that the light circuit does not seem to be affected.

Product does what it says. Much cheaper than buying an entire new vent kit with fan. Works well

Really happy with this fan upgrade, huge improvement over airflow. Was going to purchase another MaxxAir fan, but since we already had the vent cover it made sense to try this.Installation is pretty easy, on our particular trailer (2019 Imagine) the 'Ventline' brand bathroom vent had a junction box in one corner but it was easy enough to remove. Drilled out the two rivets for the stock fan motor bracket and installed the new fan in place, wired it up and done.

I’m active on several rv groups, whist on vacation I become bord and take on rv projects, the following was well received so I thought I’d share..... Some coaches, like mine, have a fantastic fan over the galley area and a dinky fan in the vent above the toilet. My dinky fan screams like animal captured in talons of a bird of prey. I oiled the little guy but it still screams the song of his people. Someone gave me a gift certificate to camping world, so I reluctantly visited the store. They (along with other places ) sell a replacement fan which doesn’t require removal of the whole unit, the fan requires removal and re-use of the interior surround but replaces the original fan, crank handle and screen. The new unit comes with a removeable screen! Now I can get rid of bugs that treat my vents as a personal burial ground. ( am I the only person who flicks their little dead corpses into the rotating fan with hopes they are ejected to the roof.... I digress) installation was straightforward, it took a couple tries to align the crank adapter but no bandages or sedition were needed on my behalf. Finally, I turned it on, it is appreciably louder than a properly operating dinky fan, it makes a whine... not horrible ( like noises heard coming from the back seat when dinner time has past) but enough “white” noise to cover most post chili cook off testing expulsions, with the door closed it is hardly noticeable. ......... BUT here is where it shines, this thing moves enough air to test model gliders, with the door to the can shut your feet will become frost bitten by all of the a/c provided cool air passing under said door... dinky ain’t got nothing on this....but it has a very dark side.... IF you dally around with the flush operation, peering through that opening in the toilet bowel basin ( no doubt admiring you recent accomplishment) our new hero (new fan) will refresh all stagnant air from the black tank by pulling it past your face to the roof in speeds exceeding a derecho. .... yeah, just like that.. so, at the end of the day I believe the conversion is an appreciable upgrade, not very expensive (60 bucks) and not difficult. Sometimes we get what we expect and more... to each your own.... just lay off the onions...

My trailer did not come with a fan installed from factory. This unit fits perfectly. It fits like factory installed.I installed in bathroom vent of a Jayco 174bh. I ran power from the light near by. Install was relatively easy, but you need to figure out your own 12v wiring for the unit. The included wires are short, so you will need a spool of wire to extend somewhere for your power and ground.I will be buying another for the kitchen vent, as I am very happy with this unit.Works perfectly for the past year. 3 speed fan, with 2 reverse speed settings. Screen removes easily for cleaning.

I bought this Heng 90046-CR Replacement Vortex II Fan to upgrade the existing vent in my Aliner Sportliner camper (the smallest of the Aliner models). That vent had never had a fan and had no original wiring. From other reviews, installation videos, and Amazon Q&As, I thought the Heng unit should fit the vent but was not sure if it would run well in the severely slanted Aliner roof. I was also concerned about clearance for the fan profile when my Aliner was closed. My results were good. The Heng unit fit the existing opening, and the vent control system worked with the Heng control adapter. I pulled power from a light fixture located lower on the wall after testing the polarity of the existing two wire system (both Aliner wires were black) and that of the fan (one black wire, one white wire, but not wiring diagram provided). I surface mounted those wires on my slant ceiling in a low profile, self-adhesive cord cover and drilled a small hole in the face of the Heng to be able to route my power to the Heng wires at the back of the fan.The Heng fan runs without difficult at the roof angle of the Aliner and moves air very well. It was great for creating air movement on hot days. On cold days, with the vent closed, the unit pushes warm air back from the peak of the ceiling to recirculate it, reducing the amount of run-time for the furnace and evening the temperature throughout the living space.Unlike the vent fan models used as original equipment for the Aliner, the Heng profile does cause concern when folding the roof to its closed position. There is no question that the control handle for the vent would be smashed if it were not removed before roof closing. The removable screen which covers the fan also seems wise to relocate before closure. The fan speed control knob and other elements of the face of the fan can be bypassed if care is taken when collapsing the roof components and, so far, have not been damaged during closed-roof transport, but these parts seem at risk of eventual damage. I will probably make it a practice to remove the entire insert when it is necessary to close my roof or eventually adapt the depth of the Heng so the projections are protected in the vent cavity. If I always had a companion to assist when the roof halves are moving, I'd probably use the Heng as is and address any problems if they occur. My previous RV vent fan experience has been with professionally installed Fantastic Vent Fans (original manufacturer, not current). Given the price difference and ease of aftermarket installation (watch the videos as there are several tips which are helpful), this Heng unit compares well. I will be buying another for a flat roof camper application this coming season.
