These are clearly not for a Traxxas 2wd slash(and others) front spindle. But they can be easily modified to work. Drilling out the lip in the extender and shortening the nut "sleeve" allows use on a shorter spindle with less thread.1st, they do have a lip near the inside end. It is machined and meant to be there. I needed to drill out the lip to be able to seat the extender. ¼" drill bit did fine. The extender i.d. is actually looser than ¼".2nd, the nut "sleeve" needs to be shortened for 2wd slash front spindle. The sleeve is meant to screw down to the lip in the extender so the sleeve is longer than it needs to be for the Traxxas spindle. Or said another way this extender and nut are made for a spindle that has more thread than the Traxxas spindle.Lastly, the 18mm extenders have MASS. Probably also meant to function as wheel weights. Just under 12g just for the brass part. Much heavier than anticipated.

I really like them but they just don't fit

Because of my “What if” nature, I built a Slash 4x4 crawler. It wasn’t worth repairing any longer as it was totally work out, so I locked the axles with spoolers, HH 35T motor, HW1060 ESC, and a 9T pinion. The issue was: The standard crawler tires would rub because of steering components and the offset 2” inner diameter on the crawler rims, 3” ID on short course rims). I added these extenders, and the problem was solved. Easiest and probably cheapest RC fix I’ve done.

Most after market tires/wheels don't have offset for narrower front end on stampede/rustler. Added the 12mm length ones on top of the plastic hubs and worked great. Now tires have same stance as rear.Or you could possibly get the 18mm length and remove original plastic hubs.

I have not installed yet but based on my neighbors purchase and installation on his car I was impressed to buy the same. Need better weather.

These parts appear to be made well. However, they 100% DO NOT fit on the Vanquish VRD Carbon kit. The stub shafts are too thick and too short. So if you are thinking of buying these for that truck, its not going to fit. You're welcome.
