Having close to 300 bee hives with hangry bees (due to drought conditions this year) it was necessary to have this item just to do simple things like mow the grass, hang laundry on the clothes line, water my vegetable garden, and tend my orchard. Bees go for the face and this item protects your face.

Just received it today and have yet to test it with the bees. That said, I will follow up if it doesn't perform as expected. I bought this as an alternative to my suit as my bees are very gentle and I already work without gloves. I'm not discarding the suit as when it gets cooler it'll be more comfortable and it's very effective.My issue with buying an integrated hat veil, or for that matter one that required a separate helmet was the concern that the hat/helmet wouldn't fit my 8 1/4 sized head. This does but the elastic under arm straps and shoulder split are designed for someone that is much smaller. My workaround here is to blouse the neck inside the collar of my t-shirt.The goal is to protect the face so that I don't get popped and drop a frame full of bees in reaction. If I end up absolutely overwhelmed, I'll just suit up.PROS:Good visibilityFits a massive craniumCONS:Shoulder straps and neck not designed for the big chest and shoulders that come with such a big head.TL;DR It should work but could be better engineered.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Schleier, er erfüllt seinen Zweck tadellos. Ich bevorzuge diese Art von Schleier, da lediglich der Kopf geschützt ist. Es handelt sich also nicht um einen Ganzkörperanzug, was mir die uneingeschränkte Arbeit erleichtert. Der Preis erscheint mir etwas zu hoch, dennoch ein wertiger Artikel den ich empfehlen kann.

At my job I do beekeeping and can say with confidence that this definitely holds up nicely. While a majority of the time I don’t feel a need to wear this it is very convenient to have on hand. Unlike other veils this stays on my head perfectly. If you’re a beginner beekeeper this is not only a smart purchase but a must.

This is one of the best veils I have. It keeps the bees out, and vision is not restricted at all. It arrived quite quickly as the inventory is in Canada.

Easy to use. Well constructed. If you're tackling a bee problem or are working with bees and honey making, this is worth the money. The hat is nice and large with a decent sized brim but not too large. Will fit a variety of sizes of bodies. Delivery was prompt.

Works great. Nice and large. Only minor issue is that the mess in the viewing area is rather fine (which I guess it has to be) and therefore if you're trying to exterminate wasps (which is better done at dusk), it makes the world a bit dark. So grab a flashlite.
