This is a great eye cup. How ever if you wear glasses it will not work

The description says this eyecup is excellent for eyeglass wearers. This is not true--your eye ends up too far away, and you cannot see the entire viewfinder display simultaneously. Without glasses it works very well. I returned it because I wear glasses.

Fits the Z50 body amazing. Love this boot compared to the stock one. Easy to swap, nice quality rubber, and makes it nice because you don't bump the screen with your nose.

I love this for big events as I can enclose my eye more and not have to worry about bright lights and sun getting into the view finder. When I have this eye piece on, it sometimes stops light from coming into the sensor for the view finder doesn’t, stopping it from auto switching to the larger screen. Makes sense because this shroud covers more area over the sensor but fixed with pressing the display button on these Z cameras, no biggie.August 2024 update:Broke while in use. Looks like the rubber is held on by a plastic sandwich plate which snapped from a graze with other items. It held up well but I do think I will get another. Rubber is solid yet flexible, but the plastic was the weak point.Reduced rating to 4 stars purely for how long it lasted while in use. Did its job, just wished it would have gone longer.

I was looking for a viewfinder replacement for the OEM one on my Nikon z50, and this one looked perfect. It sticks out more from the camera body, which stops your nose from accidentally activating the touchscreen. And the larger eyecup is a godsend for those who wear glasses. The quality is excellent, the rubber surround is soft, and the installation took seconds. I highly recommend it.

My original eyecup started separating from its mounting frame/clip. It was easy to slide the old one out by pressing from the bottom though with some initial effort. Trying to remount the old was very trying.The new one arrived speedily and was so easy to slide onto the camera viewfinder. No tiny screws to fiddle with as it was pre-mounted in a new frame. An additional advantage is it is a deeper cup. That moves one’s face back enough to decrease smudging the back LCD.
