This eyecup is great if you prefer having no light disturb you while looking through the viewfinder! It feels great and is very comfortable. I had no problems installing it, and it's just so much better! The swivel comes in handy whenever I want to shoot portrait or let my father use the camera (he uses his right eye, and not his left).

It's been 2 months and it works well so far in general. The only draw back is that I can no longer lay the camera down on the back (touch screen) side when this eyepiece is on. However, since it is a bit of a hassle to switch I don't think I will put the original D750 eyepiece back any time soon.

Works great for the purpose I purchased it. Keeps my breath from fogging the viewfinder while shooting high school football masked up. Keeps the light out too. I like the fact that it rotates around the viewfinder which makes it universal in regards to vertical vs horizontal as well as shooting eye.

My D500 gets a lot of long-lens use in the late afternoons or early mornings when there is often a lot of glare from the side. This eyecup helps block that light and allow for critical manual focusing while tracking fast moving subjects.I'm able to use this, but it would be more comfortable to have a tiny bit more diopter correction than the camera by itself does. I do not see a cost-effective way to add a diopter to this setup. Most photographers have superb vision without correction, so I probably won't get my wish in this regard.The rubber is a bit hard, but the fit to the camera and function are just fine. Rotating into the vertical mode is no trouble, but it does take a little getting used to dealing with it.This is not compatible with any of the diopter lenses that increase the range of correction for those that require reading glasses and more correction than the built-in D500 correction.Installation is simple. Close the eyepiece shutter, unscrew the original round eyepiece and then install this unit instead.

The only reason it's not 5 stars is because it doesn't lock on camera.. And it can fall off if pushed especially when the strap is on your shoulder and the camera hits your side. Otherwise this is a Great purchase and I can confidently recommend it

For the money this is best eye cup that I have used for Nikon D7000, D7200 and D7100.I have purchased multiple of this unit. Yes, it covers bit of the LCD display, but that isnot enough for that to be knocked down in rating. The eye piece stay put under almostall circumstances, and it is rotatable if you wish. Overall a very good eye cup for keepingside ingress of lights, this giving easy view of the view finder. Recommended.

I love these type of eye cups they block out any type of light from coming into your shot and allows you to focus clearly with out the extra ambient light. One down side is the size I wish they were a little bit smaller like maybe 15mm or so that way you wouldn’t have to remove the. To rotate the screen on my camera or to see the entire screen. Other then that perfect.
