In winter, we switch to boxes that don't have vents. These do a good job holding body heat from the crickets and eliminating potentially fatal drafts!

Best value and quality. Joshes frogs is the only distributor I trust to provide healthy crickets for my Australian tree frogs.

I’ve ordered from this company twice and I have been absolutely satisfied from the quality of crickets to delivery. The boxes come with a heating element and food, delivered within a few days and 99% of crickets were alive.

This is my first time ordering from them and I was skeptical of some of the bad reviews. They came in on time and in great condition they even came with food and seemed well taken care of. There were no dead ones and are very active crickets! Don’t judge this company by a bad shipper either. I used usps and the package arrived quick and in good condition.

The first 2 times I ordered crickets things went okay. The 3rd time most of the crickets arrived dead or dying. I don’t place the blame on Josh’s Frogs though. There’s a communication fail somewhere in the process and there’s a delay in the update from “expected delivery” to “delivered”. That has been an issue all three times, but the 1st two times, I just happened to be checking the mail anyway and there they were. The third time, I did NOT check the mail every day and the crickets were delivered ahead of schedule, so the poor crickets sat in a hot mailbox in August in Texas for at least 2 days. When you order from Josh’s Frogs, be sure to check for delivery EVERY day. Don’t rely on a “delivered” notification. Now, the good part: I contacted Josh’s Frogs about the dead crickets, mostly to tell them about the communication update problem, not looking for, nor expecting a refund, since, again, I don’t really hold them responsible for the problem (truthfully I point the finger of blame on the USPS for being slow to update delivery status). Josh’s Frogs answered my email very quickly and issued me a complete refund. Great customer service! I’m ordering more crickets today.

I've bought a few of the younger ones, this is my first time buying the large adult size from Josh's Frogs. They don't disappoint! Just like every other shipment I've got from Josh's Frogs, every single cricket was alive and healthy on arrival. They're nice and fat, perfect for my Tarantulas as they're finally getting to a size they can take prey this size. And they make lovely noises! I know for some the noise may be a downside, but, personally, I love the sound of the crickets. They're not too loud, in my opinion, in fact, I fell asleep listening to them the first night they were here! I'm going to continue to buy my crickets from Josh's Frogs because every time I buy them locally the crickets just aren't healthy. They're always slow-moving and lethargic and most of them die within 24 hours. But, not when I order from Josh's Frogs! You guys are definitely doing it right because these crickets are always healthy and lively right out the box. I really appreciate the convenience of them being delivered to my door and LOVE the fact they actually survive long enough to be worth the money. I can't buy more than 10 from my local pet shop because I know they'll mostly die off before I need them. Because of that I was worried about how many come in the package when I order from here but because of the difference in quality, these are way more worth it. I'd rather buy 60 healthy crickets from Josh's Frogs that'll survive and last me for a while than buy 10 or 20 locally that will be dead within three days. If anybody's faced a similar issue with local crickets and is worried about how they'd last through shipping you should go ahead and give Josh's Frogs a try in my opinion because they've yet to disappoint me. Not a single dead cricket on any of my orders as of yet. As long as you take care of them they should last you until you need them for feeding. Be sure to provide them with something to drink when you get them though! They had something to drink in the package to hold them over while they get here but it's usually mostly used up by the time they get here and they always seem super thirsty. So just give them some water gel, or some fruit slices, or anything with liquid for them to drink if you want to make sure you have healthy crickets ready for you to use to feed whatever needs them. Buying these from here has literally saved me so much money because before I started ordering from Josh's Frogs most of the crickets I'd buy would just die before I'd need them. And of course, a Tarantula isn't going to be interested in eating a dead dried up cricket most of the time. But THESE big fat juicy healthy crickets?! Yeah, my spiders love 'em. And so do I. Five stars all the way.

OK there is a lot wrong with this. First of all the women that worked there called are home and asked us what size crickets we wanted to buy. And we told her we wanted the big ones with wings. And guess what first of all the came with the worms yes that's right the same dead worms I just complained about. Well hear is the scoop on the crickets. Ok now first of all she should never have called and asked us what size we wanted shipped to us case they still gave us the wrong size. They are so small its not funny. They are not big and they have no wings like we asked for. The 2nd thing is they were dead with the smelly worms. And yes you got it the crickets were dead and smelly also. So now we are not only out worms but now we are out the very very small crickets we didn't even order. I am not a happy consumer. And I am boned mad. So now I have to go to the pet store and pay up the but for food for my reptile kids. And the reason why I order from this company was to save a few dollars and I GOT WHAT I PAID FOR!! DEAD WROTTING SMELLING FOOD FOR MY REPTILES. SO now I had to buy more food and it has coast me double. I should have just gotten them from the pet store in the first place and I could have saved my self a lot of money. BUT NOOOOOO I saw this company and all there promises and I said to my self well that's great. And man oh man I was so mad at what I got its not funny. So if I was you I would not even go hear and just save your self time and money buy just going to your local pet store. Case there you know what you are getting have been fed and they are alive and well. So if you want dead and smelly and rotted food you have come to the right place. But don't say you have not been warned. And You will not end up with the wrong size and dead bugs to feed your loving pet.
