because no one reads them. But, here goes...I bought this to consider for adoption by an absolute beginner course for seniors. One concern about inexpensive instruments is the quality of the quality control. The fretwork on the instrument I received was unacceptable. (See photo.) Other reviews found everything okay, so I chalk this up to quality control. If I wanted only one instrument, I might try again, but I'm looking for a half dozen or more, so back it goes and my search continues.

Being a beginner, I read a few reviews before buying this low cost uke and it was recommended. I agree, the build is nice, I immediately polished it and tuned it via a YouTube video. I love it! Light, sounds good and easy to strum...no need a pick. I need to build up my callouses on my fingertips but this is so easy to play. The case sux, but it was so inexpensive that I bought one for under $14 that's pretty solid. All in all, a really good deal for a nice, well built cheap uke.

This is junk. The action is so high that when you fret above the the first few frets the notes are a semi-tone too high, which makes it unplayable. If you have a chord spanning more than four frets the notes will all be out of tune relative to each other. The tuning machine sleeves do not fit properly and are so loose they fall out, or when strung, creep up out of the headstock while playing. I just bought the Donner tenor uke, and what a difference a few extra dollars make - excellent build quality, sound and action. I expected the Joy to be a bit rough but thought it might make a fun project to mod and upgrade, but no, this thing is irredeemable and so it's back to the warehouse - or landfill - with you!

Jouet pour enfant ok pour le prix. Mais ce n'est pas un ukulélé pour débutant. Se désaccorde très facilement, le son est médiocre et ... peut-on changer les cordes et comment ... ?

Cuánta con un bonito y definido sonido de ukulele para su precio, todas sus partes están completas sin imperfecciones, la funda si es muy desechable, no está unida del todo, tiene algunos partes sin cocer.

The sound is quite awesome.Tip: Just buy a strap along with this uke. With strap, you can get better placement on the fretboard and not worry about drop the uke.Best at this price / Great choice for beginners!
