STEPS TO USE

We use this to seal the end of rope that is sent overseas as part of sewing kits for mission projects. It works just as we hoped. It's nice to have a clear color choice. We've ordered twice and will continue to do so.

Brought this heat shrink to use over 1/0 wire to color coordinate my Big 3 positive RED wire. Needless to say if I ordered green, it should at least have been green'ish and not turquoise color. Ok... I have extra paint that I can paint it to match (which is what I should've did with the RED wire than to heat shrink color match it). Well....after using the heat gun to shrink it, there were SPOTS that DIDN'T shrink and bubbled up (gun was on lowest setting and WASN'T held in one spot) which leads me to believe that the material is poor quality at best.... a complete WASTE of time and $$$.

I ordered these for a rewiring project I am working on, and needed a secure and dry way to cover the wires and terminals. The color of the shrink is not quite as pictured, as in person it is more muted or washed out/ pastell is over being that vivid bright color. If you are looking for a bule color to identify or to segregat terminals then this is what you need. One issue I have and not a negative or positive l, but when you heat this is makes more of a tube over shrinking down and conforming to the odd shape of what you might be needing to cover.so if you need a colored , more tubed shaped and are not picky about how vivid/ dull color with a flat finish, you are in the spot!!! For the size in my application the size is too small or just bigger than my needs are on this project. All though with some creative thinking I am still able to make it usefull and I as sure the next project it will not perfect. The length will insure I have more than enought for my next sl several projects. Now for the value, it was moderately priced bit for those projects that pop up having this amount on hand is so much better than having to stop working on a issue to go to the store to just pick up some.....I hope this helps you make your decision easier....

After replacing my house windows that had internal alarm button sensors, and rewiring for new external alarm sensors, this heat shrink tubing worked perfectly to keep the wires together to rout around to the new edge sensors.

It's a faded orange color. Still shrinks like it should but is almost a salmon shade.

Worked fine for my use to make tomato stakes stand out more. They are much easier to spot from far away. (Used to mark survey points)BUT I found several nicks in the shrink wrap. If I was an electrician I would have been pissed. Rolls kinda made me think of factory rejects. Not good enough to sell to professionals but easy to unload on Amazon. Work great for my use.

It came wrapped in two clear plastic bags both sealed really well. The outer plastic bag was very entertaining. You will see what I mean lol. Before shrinking it's color was sort of a dark battleship gray with a hint of brown in it. After it goes to black. Un-shrunk and flattened out it looked way too big to be 3" it is 5" flattened out. But then pretty much rounded it measured 3-1/8", 3-1/4" and after shrinking right to 1-1/2".A good heat gun with higher CFM output is a must as it needs a goodly amount of heat. And it retains heat for a few minutes. It is quite strong so need something formidable to cut it with such as very heavy scissors/shears or even tin ships. I would buy again.
